"Ayano? Ayaaano?" Budo whispered
"Mm?" I woke up a little
"Good morning. I don't mean to wake you up, but I made pancakes, and they're still warm." he showed me a plate
"Thanks Budo." I laughed
"You're welcome." he kissed my forehead, "Enjoy."
"Where are you going?" I asked
"To get my pancakes, you want me to starve?" he laughed
Budo went to the kitchen and got his food, then returned and came to lay with me again. Budo's a really good chef, I'm guessing his mother taught him since she made us a delicious breakfast yesterday. I'm lucky to have Budo, like, REALLY lucky.
"Do I hear a phone going off?" he checked his phone
"Uh, that might be me." I grabbed my phone from the nightstand and sure enough, my mom was video calling me. I moved to the side a little and told Budo to be quiet so she wouldn't know he was with me
"Hi mom." I smiled, still finishing a bite of my pancake
"Hey hon, watcha eating?"
"Pancakes." I wiped my mouth
"Not to be insulting, but how? You aren't exactly.. perfect.. at cooking."
"I'm perfectly capable of making pancakes mom." I took a quick glance at Budo who was trying not to laugh
"Alright, alright." she smirked, "So, do you have a boyfriend?"
"Um." I took another bite to stall
"Ryoba don't tease our daughter like that." a male voice said
"Morning dad." I took another bite
"So, Ayano?" my mom smiled
"I.. uh.." I took another glance at Budo
"Ayano I know he's with you." she laughed
"Um.."
"I can see you looking at him."
"Okay, fine. Mom, Budo. Budo, mom." I sighed, sitting back next to Budo again
"Nice to meet you ma'am." he smiled, nervously grabbing my hand in a place the camera couldn't see. Was he that nervous about meeting my parents? They're just people. Then again, maybe all guys are like this when meeting a girl's parents for the first time, I wouldn't know.
"No need to be so formal Budo, my name's Ryoba." my mom smiled, "I assume you made the pancakes."
"Yeah, I did." he laughed nervously, so I gripped onto his hand a little more
"Did you sleep at our house last night? It's not a problem if you did, just wondering." Urgh, why is she so nozy. Budo started to look a little uncomfortable.
"Yes mom, he did."
"Well, that explains why he has no shirt on." my mom said. I completely forgot that Budo was shirtless.
"Oh, uh, sorry.. I forgot." Budo blushed
"Don't worry about it Budo, you're pretty well built for a teen, do you work out a lot?" can she not just ask a normal question?
"You could say that. I've been doing extensive martial arts training since I was younger, and I'm currently the martial arts club leader at Akademi." he said a little more confidently, that's my Budo.
"Oh wow! Ayano, you've got yourself a chef with a six pack! Don't let go of this one." my mom winked
"Jesus mom." I blushed, making Budo laugh
"I'm not going anywhere, I can assure you of that Ryoba." he's so sweet..
"That's good to hear Budo. I'll look forward to meeting you once we get back from America."
"Ryoba, let me talk to them." my dad said
"Here.." she passed over the phone, "I'll be upstairs if you need me."
"Morning Budo."
"Good morning Sir." Budo smiled
"You stayed the night?" my dad asked
"Dad this isn't an interrogation."
"Ayano." he gave me an obvious look
"Fine." I gave Budo the phone and left the room

Budo's POV
"Yeah.. I stayed the night sir. I hope that's not a problem, this is the first night I've stayed over." I said anxiously
"Budo you don't need to be so nervous." he smiled
"Sorry, it's just that Ayano's my first real girlfriend and I really like her, so I don't want to mess this up." it felt better getting it off my chest
"First real girlfriend?" he put an emphasis on REAL
"Yeah, like, I had a girlfriend when I was younger, but we were kids so I don't really think it counts."
"Ah, I see. So, you're there wilfully?"
"Willfu-? Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I know what you're talking about. Yeah, she's not like that anymore. But I do know about it, and I understand it."
"We're on the same page?"
"I know, I probably sound crazy for saying it doesn't bother me that she.. well, you know. But I get that she didn't feel emotions and that-"
"Didn't?" he cut me off, "Meaning she does now?"
"Yep! She's been picking up emotions really well actually. She's happy a lot which is nice to see." I smiled to myself
"Budo, I've been trying for her entire life to even get a smile out of her, how did you manage to make her feel emotions?"
"I don't know really.. It just kinda happened I suppose. She was emotionless at first with a little bit of anger, then she was sad and scared, so I comforted her. Now she's happy all the time."
"Budo, you make her happy. You're welcome in our house at any time." he smiled
"Any time? Because last night I got here at just after midnight." I laughed
"Midnight.. did you..?"
"Oh, nothing like that sir. Ayano doesn't sleep very well, so I came to help her."
"Did it work?"
"Yeah, she falls asleep really easily when I'm next to her, I guess she just needs a little love and affection to get to sleep." I smiled a little
"Oh? I thought this was your first time staying over."
"It is, Ayano's been to my house though, and she's usually exhausted, so she falls asleep a lot." I laughed
"Well Budo, you seem to really care about Ayano, and I can tell that she adores you, treat her well, okay?"
"Only the best sir." I nodded
"That's good to hear. Tell her she can come back in now." Ayano opened the door and jumped on me, she must have been listening
"Miss me?"
"Of course." I laughed
"Well, I'll leave you two alone."
"WAIT! I need to say byeeee!" Ryoba ran down the stairs, charging at Mr Aishi, "I'll miss you baby." she said to Ayano
"Oh god, don't patronise me mom.. I'll miss you too."
"You make sure she doesn't get into too much trouble, alright Budo?"
"You have my word."
"Then I will see you both soon, good bye!"
"Enjoy your holiday." I smiled
"Oh, I will."
