Chapter 3

He's cut off as Katrenya comes up and smacks his hand away from me before wrapping her arms around his neck possessively.

"Baby have you been ignoring me?"

"Um..." he trails off and gulps as his eyes widen in surprise, "Katee listen we need to talk."

"There's nothing to talk about. We didn't see eachother in six months. But I missed you."

"Yeah but-"

"But nothing. Did you hook up with someone?"

I can't help but let out a little laugh as I quietly shut my locker trying to get away.

"What would you be laughing about little miss Kat."

I look at her with a smirk, "Oh nothing. But shouldn't he be the one asking you that?"

"What?!" she practically screeches as she pulls away from Jax.

I lean in and whisper, "Oh nothing. But tell him and I promise Gaby never has to find out."

She looks at me horrified, "You wouldn't dare."

"Oh I would. Actually here she comes now."

Katte turns and looks to see Nacxson walking down the hall with is arm draped around Gaby.

"You can't. You know how it is," she says looking at me panicked.

"Know how what is?" I ask confused glancing at Jax I see a worried look on his face.

She gets up in my face and hisses, "If you know what's good for you, you won't utter a word to him or her. Otherwise come tonight with your claws out bitch."

I just laugh and shake my head then I walk away heading to class.

When school ends Jax is at my locker no Katee in sight.

"Um will you come to my house and talk with me and Nax?"

I glance at him, "About what?"

"You'll see. Just trust me."

I sit down on the couch next to Kat as Nax comes into my living room.

We had studied for a few hours while we waited for him. He came over with a ton of alcohol in tow.

"Okay what the hell is this about?" Kat growled.

"Calm down kitten," I laugh.

She turns to be her eyes wide.

"I know Kat. We both know."

First she tries to deny it.

"Know what?"

"That you're some kind of leopard," Nax says.

"What?! God you're both crazy," she says starting to get up.

"Snow leopard," I say quietly.

She sits back down and looks me in the eyes.

"That was you in the woods," she whispers.

Then she breaks down in tears. I take her in my arms, "Kat what's wrong?"

"She's never met another one like her Jax," Nacxson says.

"Wait are you one too?" she looks at Nacxson horrified.

"I'm a panther. Oh and Lizzy is a cheetah."

She turns and looks at me, "What about Katee and Gaby?"
