Me and Mario were currently playing video games when I suddenly got a call from my mom. I paused the game and told Mario to be quiet and he nodded.

mom- M | valerie- V

V- hey mom how's the trip going?

M- eh it's okay I'm a little stressed

V- everythings gonna be fine , no need to be rude but why'd you call me you could've call me days before

M- oh yea about that... *sighs*

V- mom is something wrong?

M- a company offered me a job

V- mom that's great congrats!

M- yeaa.. but the job is over here and if I take the job then we would have to move over here...

V- oh.. did you take it?

M- yes

V- where is the job again?

M- North Carolina

V- mom! do you not know how far that is from here?!

M- I knew you would be mad.. I'm sorry sweetie

V- ugh it's okay mom *chuckles* I'm just gonna miss everyone here

M- oh yea and you might wanna pack when I get back we are going to the airport the following morning....

V- when are you coming home?

M- three days...

V- uh okay thanks for telling me mom I have to go

M- bye love you!

V- love you too!

END OF CALL

As soon as I hung up I burst into tears, which caused Mario to jump. "What's wrong?" Mario asked rubbing my back softly.

* 10 minutes later *

I finally told Mario everything and he didn't take it good, I could see the emotion in his face that he was happy. He almost seemed sad like he would miss me. Why though?
