#ProjectInsecurities is a campaign created by Vanessa Tiiu (starysmiles) to support those that struggle with insecurities and anxiety. Here we can support each other through our anxieties and come out stronger than before both in our writing and in ourselves.
There are three components to #ProjectInsecurities!
The first is to support and write characters who are not flawless, much like real people are. We too often read and write about characters who are much too perfect to be real, and we as humans are far from it. So this campaign is to firstly help promote authors to write and create characters that are more realistic and struggle with anxiety and/or insecurities.
Second, this is to help people write what they are scared to! We're all insecure about something, and quite possibly something about your writing. So, #ProjectInsecurities challenges you to step outside your comfort zone and write something that you are scared to! Whether it be a new genre, or just something you've wanted to write about for a while but have never had the courage to, here's your chance!
Lastly, this is a safe place to be able to talk to someone about your anxiety and insecurities, to become more secure. We all have flaws, and we're all perfect in our own ways, it's time that we create a safe community where we can share and embrace our flaws. A place where we can lean back to and know we're not alone in this fight.

If you'd like us to add your book to our reading lists, add the tag to your respective book/s. If your book doesn't get added to our reading lists, don't be afraid to give us a shout over PM. Any books that are both about or contain a character who struggles with anxiety or major insecurities will be added to our reading lists. Also if you're writing your insecurity, you're writing something that you've never tried or have always been nervous to try before, explain that in an info chapter of your book! If you have a book that you feel should be added simply PM us and let us know.
