My Life Changed Forever

Chapter One: Finding Out

Okay so hi my name is Courtney. I live in PA and I have 2 siblings a sister and a brother who are both way older then me. I have a pretty good life, nice house, loving family, mostly good friends but hey being a girl in high school isn't easy. I have really great parents who love me a lot. I can always trust them, or so I thought. One day I was just in my room watching Scream Queens like I always do when my parents called me down stairs. I thought they were going to tell me pick up some stuff I left in the den but no  what they said was nothing like that at all. My parents told me to sit down, that they had something we needed to talk about, something I needed to know. What they told  me changed my life forever. They said that they weren't my real parents that my older sister was my real mother but my parents didn't want anyone knowing that their daughter got pregnant at 16. So they sent her to our aunts house till she had me then my parents pretended I was theirs, which was easy because right when I was born we moved to a different state where no one knew us. I just sat there staring at the ground, fiddling with a loose string from my dress, for a while, till I finally asked why they told me, why now? And as if all of this wasn't hard enough to comprehend they told me why. Just to add the cherry on this ice cream sundae they said that I have a twin brother who reached out to my sister, well I guess I should say my mom. So now not only are my parents not my parents, my sister not my sister but my mother I also have a twin brother. All I could do was run to my room lay on my bed and cry. And that's all I did the rest of the day I didn't talk to anyone the only one I let in my room was my dog. He didn't do anything to me I didn't have the heart let alone energy to yell at him to leave. So I laid next to him, crying, till I finally fell asleep.
