A family affair

I see some girl next to him. She keeps giving me dirty looks. I'm guessing this is his girlfriend. After what seems like forever, he ends our hug."Damn Charmaine you growing up into a beautiful girl ma." Says Ronnie

I start to blush. ☺️🙈

"Omg stop you're making me blush. But thank you."

Ronnie never really paid much attention to me before. I guess it's because I was always so much younger than him.

"You must not see me standing here," snaps some girl. She's really tall and skinny but has big boobs and an ass. I'll admit she has a body to kill for, but she ain't got nothing on me. She kind of looks like Erica Mena from Love & Hip Hop.

"Jojo don't start I'm just talking to the girl." Says Ronnie

"Yeah whatever. I don't have time for this I'm going to the food court." Says Jojo

She gives me one more look before brushing past me. She lucky I'm in a good mood. Otherwise I would have stomped on her rude ass. I might be small but don't let these looks fool you. People always second guessing me because I'm short. I ain't afraid to pull my hair up and beat a bitch ass.

Alex must have sensed it because he turned to me and said, " relax don't let her get to you. She's just on edge let her be."

"It was nice seeing you Charmaine. I hope I see you around. I gotta go get her crazy, emotional ass." Says Ronnie

He gives me his adorable smile before chasing off after Jojo. In my opinion he can do so much better. Guys are always throwing myself at me. Then their girl be ready to fight me. Like girl bye all I did was talk to the boy.

I watch as he leaves wishing he was mine. I don't know why he deals with her.

"I apologize for my girls behavior. It's really out of her character to act like this. It was really nice meeting you. Shame on Alex for not telling me about you. We should hang out sometime." Says Ashanti

"It was nice meeting you too."

"I'm going to go check up on her." Says Alex

"Alright I'll catch up with y'all in a few." Says Alex

He kisses Ashanti and she walks off.

"You did good this time. I really like her she's so sweet."

"I know that's my heart." Says Alex

"You should stop by the house sometime. Mom would love to meet her."

"I guess I should put the past behind me and go over there. I do miss my mom." Says Alex

"You should and we need to chill. I need some brother and sister time."

"I gotchu baby girl. You still got the same number?" Asks Alex

"Yes I do."

"Alright good ima call you later. We got a lot to catch up on. I couldn't say it in front of Ashanti. There's some secrets I've been hiding." Says Alex

"Of course and I can't wait to hear this."

"By the way I saw you cheesing at Ronnie. Word of advice stay away from him. He's my boy and all but he's not the one." Says Alex

Here we go again now he's going into big brother mode. When we lived together he used to always scare my boyfriends off. 😒

"What you're crazy I don't even like that boy."

"That's a lie you know you like him. You've had a crush on him for as long as I could remember. He asked me about you before but I was like nah. You my baby and I'll kill somebody if they try to play my sister." Says Alex

"I love that you care about me and want what's best for me. Clearly Ronnie is taken. It's just a harmless crush. Besides I don't steal another girls man. You know that's not my style." 💁

"Yeah I know. I gotta go but I'm glad we talked. Call me whenever you need me. I love you baby girl." Says Alex reaching down to kiss me on my forehead.

"I love you too Alex."

He gives me one last hug before leaving. I can't help but smile. I finally got to see my best friend. Me and Alex used to be really close. We would tell each other everything. I wonder what he has to tell me later.

I'm mad he didn't tell me about Ronnie earlier. I want that boy so bad if only he knew. He need to dump that hoodrat and be with me. I wouldn't be so clingy and controlling. Seems like all the good ones are taken. All the guys at my school are wanna be thugs. I mean they cute but I'm not really into high school boys. I mainly have a thing for older boys.

I was so deep in my thoughts I didn't notice someone bumping into me. "My bad ma I didn't see you there." Says this boy. I look up and see this tall Lightskin boy with the cutest green eyes and a head full of curls.

"No it's all me I wasn't paying attention."

"I'm Kyle by the way." He takes my hand in his and kisses it.

"I'm Charmaine and nice to meet you."

"You have a cute smile." Says Kyle

"Thank you." I say starting to blush real hard.

He starts smiling and I see his sexy dimples.

For a minute we just stare at each other. I find myself lost in his eyes.

"Are you here alone?" Asks Kyle

"Yeah."

"Do you have a man?" Asks Kyle

"Nope I'm living that single life."

"Aye that's wassup. You should give me your number." Says Kyle wit a smirk appearing on his face. 😏

He pulls out his phone and we exchange numbers.

"Well I gotta go but it was nice meeting you. I hope we see each other soon." Says Kyle

"Same here."

"Later ma." Says Kyle he hands me back my phone and I hand him his phone.

He walks off and I watch him leave.

This day just keeps getting better. First I run into Alex, then Ronnie flirts with me. Now I meet this fine ass boy. Today defiantly has been a good day. 👌

I walk towards Forever 21 to buy down new clothes. You never know I might be going on a date real soon. 💁
