Sayumi Hishida, a freelance assassin who kills those, people want dead for a lot of money. She's had a lot of contracts asking to kill some of the Night Raid members, but she knows better than to mess with them and always refuses, no matter how much money they're willing to offer. Not to say she's never run into a few members before, mostly Leone since Sayumi lives near the slums where Leone grew up. Sometimes Sayumi and Night Raid get the same contract, which she has to back out of since she knows they'll try to recruit her however they don't fully know her true self. And she's been pretty good at hiding herself but...
Things were about to change.
Sayumi walked into an alleyway that she had never been in before, since she felt like exploring, and of course, she ended up getting lost. She saw a young boy and decided to ask him for help.
"Excuse me?" She started. The boy turned to her with a stern expression. "Sorry to bother you but I'm a little lost. Can you help me get back to the market please?" She laughed lightly, embarrassed.
The boy laughed nervously. "Actually... I'm lost as well. Haha.." He rubbed the back of his head.
Just then, a female guard ran over to the two and asked if they needed help. Sayumi said yes and the three introduced themselves as they walked. The guard's name was Seryu and she had a teigu called Coro. The boy's name was Tatsumi, he was with a friend before they were separated, since his friend hadn't paid a tab and they were chased down by a group of angry men. Sayumi couldn't help but laugh which earned her a scowl from Tatsumi.
"Sorry, that just sounds like someone I know." Sayumi apologised.
Coro started sniffing around Sayumi. Seryu gave Sayumi a suspicious look and she stopped walking. "Coro, what's wrong? Does Hishida-san smell delicious?" Seryu knelt beside Coro.
"Kyuu Kyuu!" Coro pointed at Sayumi's choker which has dragon wings marked on it.
Seryu picks Coro up and looks at Sayumi's choker. "Hey that's a nice choker. Is it a Teigu?"
Sayumi touches her choker. "Oh, um yeah." She smiles nervously. Tatsumi senses her discomfort and suggests they keeps walking.
They eventually make it back to the market, where the three go their separate ways. Seryu looks back at Sayumi as she walks away. I wonder why her Teigu scared Coro so much. She thought as she held Coro. No matter, I still need to find Night Raid and avenge General Ogre!
Sayumi looked around her, and when she was certain that she was out of sight, she activated her Teigu. A helmet began to unfold from the neck upwards that took the shape of a dragon's head but fully black, with white eyes. Along with this, armour also materialized below her neck, from her wrists, and from her ankles. After she was covered in pitch black armour; mechanical wings emerged from the armour's shoulder blades. She stood there, making sure all her armour was there.
