Kill Me With Love (Karma Akabane)

XX.Ocean

The E-Class has been working hard to prepare for
their biggest assassination plan so far.
However.. despite all their preparations and training,
the assassination failed when Korosensei pulled up
another trick up his sleeves, turning into a ball that
was said to be his ultimate defense form.

"Heh. That's too convenient for you." Achlys reacts.

"Nyuruhuhuhu! Of course! I can't die so easily." Korosensei
laughs at her comment.

"No weakness you say? Eh.." Karma picks up Korosensei and
then shows Korosensei's photo when he was looking at erotic
magazines and Korosensei started frantically begging Karma to
stop.

Despite failing once more, they managed to laugh thanks to
Karma's "cruel" jokes.

Later on..

When everyone else has returned to the hotel to take a rest,
Achlys was left behind, she sat by the seashore and let the ocean
waves gently caress her feet.

It was already night time and the only source of light by the ocean
was the moon and the stars. She stares up to the night sky.. as she
feels the ocean, she seemed to be so lost in her own thoughts once
more.

Karma, who grew to be more curious of her, came back to check up
on her. He walks behind her and stopped as soon as he saw her figure.

Achlys blinks her eyes as if she has snapped out of her deep thoughts
and took notice of his presence. "Karma" she says his name.

He sighs and then smiles, "You knew I'm right behind you?
  Is it because you're too crazy about me or I'm just easily
  noticeable?" he jokes and then walks up to her. "Today's
  assassination failed huh." Karma brings up the topic.

Achlys nods in agreement, "Yes. But it does not matter."
She says. "Failure can be perceived differently. But I look
 at it as an opportunity. This way, I am able to feel the hunger
 for victory."

"Eh.. so deep." Karma glances at her while she speaks.
"You really are weird." He chuckles.

"Is that a bad thing?" She looked at him with a calm smile.

"Nope, I actually like it." Karma smiles back at her.

Achlys falls silent and then looks away with a blushing face.
"My heart.. it's beating fast once again.." She whispers to
herself but Karma pretends that he did not hear it at all.

"So unpredictable.. Achlys. Why are you like that?
   I can't read you at all. One time you're crazy and
   then the next you're calm and cool. Not that it's a
  bad thing. Seriously." Karma looks up to the sky just like her.

She does not respond to his words..
..and it's the same familiar silence once again.

The sound of the waves are the only thing hindering the silence.

He gazes at her.. while she keeps staring at the night sky or
at the ocean itself.. the moonlight gives off an enchanting atmosphere.

"(Why do you look like so bewitchingly beautiful right now?)"
He wonders inside his mind with a serious look on his face.
"(Is the moon placing me under a spell? You're like a mythical
    creature right in front of me. Are you human? Or are you a goddess?)"

He, who has never been in love..
Slowly finds himself attracted to a woman.
Moreover, the woman who claims to love him.

To stop himself from being too hysterical about her..
Karma decided to break the silence.

"You like the ocean?" He couldn't think of anything else to ask.
Karma asks in his usual tone of voice.

"Yes. What about you?" Achlys quickly responds to him normally
and asks him in return.

"Maybe. I like swimming." Karma laughs as he answers and she
looks at him while he speaks.

"It's even more beautiful at night." Achlys says as she looks away.
She stands up and her soaked legs drips water on the sand, she looks
up to the crescent moon.

Karma picks up the wrapped towel on the ground beside her and
gently placed it around her shoulders.

"Thank you." Achlys smiles sweetly at him.
"You know? The ocean is beautiful yet mysterious." She said
while facing him.

"To me, you're like the ocean." Karma answered her without a
second thought, smiling at her, looking back directly into her eyes.

"...?" Her eyes widened for a second and she blushed once more.
But then her flustered moment ended as soon as she spoke again,
"To me, you're the world itself." She said with a smile.

"Hahahaha! That's better." Karma laughs, but inside, he has been
feeling the same unusual heartbeat that she has been feeling too.
