7 years old
Nathan stood at the curb of his street with his old green sneakers, his new sweater, and his new transformers back-pack.
His black hair was sweeped against his forehead. He had a smile on his face.
His mom was next to him.
The bus came into view and stopped in front of Nathan and his mom. The door opened.
His mom kissed him on the forehead."Have a great day sweetheart!"
"I will mommy."
He walked up the steps and said good morning. Walking down the aisle he slowly realized the only seat left was the seat.
"Can I sit here?"
"No."
"Why?"
"Because you sat next to me for the whole year!"
"But it was the only seat left!"
"You didn't had to sit there! You could had standed."
"I'm telling the bus driver!"
"You're a big tattletale and a baby!"
"Humph!"
Nathan went up and told the bus driver.
The bus driver really should have chosen the middle schoolers.
