They all bid us goodbye, before leaving the apartment silently. Harry followed them, closing the door quietly as I sat on the couch and pondered, feeling the anxiety start to creep in. I wasn't even worried anymore about losing my memories. I was worried about the other risks brain surgeries normally had, that I had knowledge on. Just as the worry started to creep up in my throat and suffocate me, I felt a warm hand land on mine that was clasping the edge of the sofa tightly. I felt all my doubt and worry leave me when my eyes met a pair of bright jade concerned ones.
"What's wrong? Second thoughts?" he questioned softly, running his thumb over my knuckles before he took my hand onto his lap.
"No," I answered immediately, before pressing my lips together. "I-I mean I was just thinking of the other risks brain surgeries normally have."
"You don't have to worry about that, Sullivan is incredibly experienced, and so is Mark. I know people who've had brain surgeries done by Sullivan here in The Organization. So, don't worry, you're in safe hands, as Liam said," he told me firmly, squeezing my hand reassuringly as he smiled softly. I returned his smile, before he leaned in to kiss my lips, again trying to reassure me that it was going to be okay.
The ringing of a phone suddenly interrupted our intimate actions, both of us breaking the kiss and sighing in annoyance at the vibrate phone that belonged to Harry. He opened his eye, sending me an apologetic look before pulling away to pull his phone out of his pocket. He answered the call briefly, muttering a few words before ending the call.
"Apparently Omega is still laying low after all these days," Harry told me, as he kept his phone on top of the coffee table.
"That doesn't seem like Viola," I frowned. "She's always got something up her sleeve."
"Right, well she'll have no choice but to lay low after that video we sent her yesterday," Harry said, as I bit my lip remembering the video we filmed yesterday.
It showcased Sami and I getting beat up, practically on the verge of death as Vlad and Max held guns to our heads as a warning for Viola to not attack us. It seemed liked our warnings were working but Sami and I were still paranoid Omega were laying low only because they were planning to attack anyways. But almost a week had passed and they still didn't make their move.
"True, but they're planning something. I know it," I murmured grimly, eyes flickering up to meet him as he pursed his lips.
"We can't really figure out what that is, at the moment. Niall is trying to hack into their base with Sami's help, but the security is tight. It's taking some time, but until then we've gained control of all cameras that are on the inside of their base. So far the team is just training, and Viola is seen out and about doing something we can't tell," Harry carried on talking.
"If she's going out and about that means she's seeing people, trying to devise a plan!" I exclaimed.
"If that plan involves attack us at any costs, it won't happen because she needs Sami and Sami is with us. So, if she even tries to attack us, Sami will be 'dead' as well as you," Harry said, adding in air quotes. I know he meant that Sami won't be killed, and neither would I, but was us holding Sami as leverage enough to keep a leash on Omega?
"You're right, I'm sorry I'm just paranoid," I muttered, shaking my head as I averted my gaze.
"It's fine, it's good that you are because that means you're on guard. If you and Sami have any ideas of what Viola would plan to do you should tell us. Even if they do attack us despite our warnings, we'll be ready to strike back. They only have one assassin team, while we have countless of teams. We can take them down," Harry said firmly. I held his hand in mine, squeezing it while I shot him a smile.
