Bella's Pov:
It's been a couple weeks since I moved in with my uncle. I finally am all done packing and have my room set up. I miss my old room though and my family all under one roof.
My parents are both in the military and they move a lot for work from base to base.
Usually I go with them except this time is different. They're going to another continent and there was a high chance of them getting caught in something deadly because of an on going war and I don't like to think about it a lot.
I lost someone extremely special to me about 3 years ago, I was turning 13 and my big brother Justin was supposed to come back for a vacation since he was in the military also since he wanted to keep the tradition in my family going.
Flashback:
I jumped up as soon as I heard a knock on the door. I new it was my big brother right outside of it and he was the only thing that I would want on my birthday, but to my surprise when I opened the door it was his best friend Jake they went into the military together right after graduating.
"Hey Bella, I really need to tell you and your parents right now" he said I saw tears threatening to just come poring out.
I
wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him in for a hug. "He...he's gone." Little did I know those three little words would forever haunt me and make my whole world come crumbling down.
End of flash back......

I came up from my day dream to see my Uncle Dj snapping his fingers in my face and he had a concerned look on his face.
"Are you okay?" he asked me I gave him a dry look.
"Just peachy" I replied rather rudely.
After my brother died I was never the same person. I turned into a so called "bad ass bitch". I also didn't give a fuck about what other people thought of me because my heart is made of stone and would always be or so I thought...
