You were walking with your friends to go to the high school football game. You were hoping that your boyfriend, Eric, would do good.
"Hey, y/n, you need to stay away from that fuckboy." Your friends would always say, but you told yourself you were in love.
Once you reached the game, you and your friends decided to go on a little walk to explore, even though you've been there many times.
Your friends turned a corner and it would allow them to see under the bleachers. You saw there faces tense up and you ran to see what was wrong.
You looked to see that your boyfriend was kissing another girl. You ran under the bleachers and then your ex-boyfriend noticed and he ran away with the tiny blonde girl.
"ITS OVER!" You scream tears running down your face. You crumbled to your knees as your friends came over.
"I told you, y/n."
"Yeah, you should have listened."
"Why do we have to care for you when we told you what was gonna happen in the first place." And they left. Your friends turned there back on you, now you were helpless. (HAMILTON)
You just wanted to close your eyes and never wake up at that moment. Your life was ruined.
You got up deciding to go home and just cry.
You had to go around the whole football field before you could get to the gate. So, you shuffled around, covering your eyes to make sure nobody would stop and ask anything.
You were about leave when," HEADS UP!"
You turned around only to see a ball coming straight at your face.
Right when it was about to hit you in the face one of the football players jumped mid air and caught the ball. He landed on his side with a loud thump. He got up brushed himself off and asked the question you didn't want to hear,"Are you okay?"
You decided to suck it up,"Oh, yeah, I'm fine but thank you."
"No problem, but you look like you were crying." He put his hand to your tear stained cheek.
"Wait, your y/n!" He took his hand away. "Your, Eric's girlfriend!"
"Not anymore." His face went from like he had just thought of a cure for cancer to confused.
"What do you mean?"
"He kind of, um, kind of-"
"Cheated." You looked up to him.
"Yeah, how'd you know?" Tears started to form in your eyes.
"Because he was cheating with my girlfriend. I guess I should have known better."
You started to cry. He held you close. Even though he had tons of gear on you still felt like you melted in his arms.
"So, your single, I'm single." He said and you laughed through your tears.
"Maybe, we could hang out sometime? Maybe catch a movie after the game and get something to eat, because I want to see your beautiful smile." And you smiled and wiped away your tears. You knew Grayson was hurting too but it would be nice to be in each others company.
"Yeah, I would love that."
