Chapter 2

Carolines pov

I went to my first class today which was science. I had that with Emma and Cat. We got through Science and now it was time for Math. I hated math.

I walked in and Mason and Blake were sitting at a table for three. Emma was in my math class but Cat was a level higher. I saw the table in front of Mason and Blake, Parker was sitting there.

I walked up to him "is this seat taken?" I asked. He looked up at him and had a small grin on his face. Something flashed in his dark eyes "nope" he said.

I pulled the chair out and sat down. The teacher came in and he set his papers down. He started to talk and I got lost in his words.

I flicked my blonde hair behind my shoulder and rested my head on my hand and tried to listen.

After Math we all went to lunch and we all sat together. A few other girls sat with us that I kind of knew but not really. Cat and Emma sat across me and Mason sat next to me and Blake across from him.

Parker and in and sat on the table next to Mason. I brought my lunch because the school food is terrible. I pulled out my Nutella sandwich and chips. I ate and chip and then I saw a hand swipe a chip. I looked at Mason who was eating the chip.

I hit his head, he laughed. "So how long have you guys known each other" Parker asked looking at Mason and I.

"Maybe a year and a half" I said looking at Mason who was about to get another chip. I quickly slapped his hand. "Ow!" He said.

"Don't touch my food" I warned him. He held his hands up in surrender.

"So Parker where did you move from?" Cat asked. "New York" he said. "Really? That's cool. It's pretty far too" she said.

"Yeah" he said, "so are you living with your parents?" She asked. I looked at him and saw he didn't want to answer that. His dark eyes flickered toward mine.

Then I heard a voice, a voice that I thought I could avoid all day. I guess not.

It was Jessica, the meanest girl ever, she hated me. "Parker right?" She said twisting her hair and putting on a cute face.

I watched Parker look at her, "yup" he said cooly. "I'm Jessica" she said. He nodded she started to walk and touched his bicep. "I'll see you around" she said whispering in his ear.

I rolled my eyes and turned away. Mason took his finger and pointed to his mouth and make a gagging noise. I bursted out laughing and then Parker looked at us so I shut my mouth.

Mason got up and started to braid my long blonde hair. I taught him how to braid last year and since then he always wants to braid my hair.

We all talked and laughed until the bell rang and went our separate ways.

After the bell rang I exited the school and went towards the parking lot. "Well look who it is" a voice said.

I sighed, ughhhhh, it was the one and only Ryan aka my ex boyfriend. I turned around and cocked my head to the side.

"What do you want Ryan?" I said, "aw come on babe don't be like that" he said. Ugh I hate it when he calls me that. "Don't call me that, I'm not your babe I broke up with you remember?" I said.

"Oh come on let's move past that" he said grabbing my hand. I looked down at my hand and tried to pull away but he tightened his grip and pulled me back.

"Ow!" I said, "Ryan let go of me" I said. He was about to say something but someone behind him stopped him.

"You should probably listen to her" a voice said. I looked at the tall figure, it was Parker. "Yeah and whys that?" Ryan asked.

Parker stepped closer, I noticed Parker was a lot bigger than Ryan and had more muscle. "This isn't over" he said dropping my wrist.

I rubbed my now red wrist, "thanks" I said. "Ex boyfriend?" He asked. I looked into his eyes, they were like ice. "Yeah" I said looking down.

"I should probably get going, thanks again" I said smiling at him. I started to turn and when I did all I could see in my mind were those gorgeous dark cold blue eyes. He was different than other guys but I couldn't figure out why.
