Gradients On A Canvas (Part Two)

   I sigh as I look down at my mulit-colored fingers.
"I've been here too long.." I mumble, is fifteen years a long time? Probably. But to me it felt like only a few hours.
"You okay Gradient?" Amalg asks me from a chair across the small room we had created. I nod but I feel a tear trickle down my cheek bone, I place my hand on my face, I hadn't even realized I started crying. I feel large tears roll down my face into my lap, I don't feel sad, so why am I crying? Amalg runs over to me wrapping me in an embrace, I may hate physical contact but I guess this is fine. I hug him back enjoying his warmth around my small frame. (No I am NOT shipping these two!) Suddenly a quite whoosh breaks our silence. We look up to find a portal opened, we both gasp in surprise and awe. Amalg and I glance at each other before we nod, standing up we run through the portal not caring where we end up as long as it's not another void. My tears have dried as we find ourselves in an AU.
"G-gradient?!" A voice exclaims from behind me, I can hear tears in their voice as I turn, tears find their way to my eyes as well.

"M-mom?!" I exclaim as I run into Ink's wide open arms.
"O-oh... Sweetie, I missed you!" Ink had started to cry already, a smile through my tears.
"I-i missed you too!" I say shakily. Amalg is smiling at the two of us, he seems happy that we are. "W-where did you go?" Ink tried to ask.
"I-i don't know," I mumbled but Ink just hugged me tighter. Finally we let go of each other, and look at the other. Ink looks older and wiser, his eyes hold many things. I am still shorter then Ink and I now notice how torn and worn my clothes are.
"Wait, who are you?" Ink turns to Amalg.
"O-oh! I'm from AmalgaTale, but just call me Amalg," He says quickly surprised by the question, Ink nods with a smile.
"Oh! Come on, we have to find Error!" Ink says happily. Amalg shuttered at the thought of the glitch that had tried to destroy his AU. "Here you two come with me!" Ink says as he opens a portal.
"No thanks, I'm going to try and find my AU," Amalg says a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. Ink nods.
"Well then, come on!" Ink says as he plunges through the portal, I run after him quickly, waving to Amalg.

"Oh, hi Ink," Error says as we enter the portal, not bothering to look up from his phone screen. "Wait-" He says to himself as he looked up. Error's jaw dropped as he saw me, his eyes went wide, and the phone clattered to the ground. "G-gradient??" He asked completely shocked, I smile laughter welling in my throat. Error smiles like I've never seen him smile before. "Oh god! Gradient!" Tears start welling in his eyes, but he doesn't dare touch me.
"What's going on in here?" Asks a small black skeleton as he walks into the room. I feel my eyes widen at this small skeleton. "Who are you?" He asks, pointing a pink and yellow finger at me. Ink smiles awkwardly.
"W-well he's y-your older brother.." Ink tried to say but stuttered.
"Name's Gradient," I smile at his shocked expression.
"Nice to meet you then! My name is PaperJam," He says with a small bow. I chuckle, this will be fun.
