Half naked and dying

It's been two weeks. Two whole weeks and nothing has happened. Well actually a lot has happened. Just nothing bad. Which is almost hard to believe. But no attacks. No deaths, just living. Most of everyone is healed. Except for the cuts and bruises all over our bodies. Everything else is mostly healed.

My stomach still hurts sometimes, but nothing as bad as before. Jax is doing better with his wound. It's pretty much all closed and healed. This is probably the best I have ever seen this tribe. We have made living better. We have a good amount of food and we have people going out hunting once every week. We also have training, not as much, but still enough to keep us in shape.

Everyone went back to their jobs. Cleaning the place up so it doesn't look so dreary and depressing. And the moods has changed. Everyone can tell that people are more happy. It's like an invisible cloud has stoped hanging over this village. Now I hear people laugh and see them smiling for real. It was nice to see my people living the real life they deserved.

Of course there is still the sadness in some of us about the ones we lost. I still feel it deep inside of me everyday and night. But I put that to the side and focus at the task at hand. It's the only thing I can do now. I was now sitting at a table by myself eating my food like a usual afternoon.
"Hey!" Kian shouted in my ear and sat next to me. I gave him an annoyed look.
"Wanna do something fun?" He asked.
"Depends on what it is." I said skeptically. It's been a while since I had done something fun.
"Go swimming. In the lake near by with me and a few other people." He offered.
"I don't have a bathing suit." I said. He stood up and held out his hand for me to take.
"Just go in your birthday suit instead." He winked at me. I looked at his hand. This is what normal teenagers would be doing. I should do this. I took his hand and he pulled me with him.

A few ways out into the woods there was a clearing. A huge lake filled with crystal blue water with ferns growing around it.  I steeped into the track path and looked. I saw Skye, Jack, Felix, Lark, Josh, and Piper all in the water playing around. But only in their underwear and bras.
"Umm Kian." I said getting uncomfortable. I looked at him and he slipped his shirt off in one motion then took off his pants leaving him in just his underwear exposing his toned, hot ass body.

I gulped. He ran in the water and joined the others. I looked around for a way to escape, but instead I found Jax sitting watching the others. I walked over and took a seat next to him.
"What are you doing out here and not in there?" I asked.
"I could ask you the same thing." He said. I nodded my head. It's not really been awkward between us after we "broke up" but nothing has been the same. I took a deep breath and chose to put all my fears behind me.

I stood up and took of my jacket then my tank top leaving me in my bra. Then I took off my shoes and socks and then my pants. I set them aside and could feel Jaxs eyes on me.
"Come on." I said. He shook his head no. I got down eye level with him and leaned in.
"Please." I tried to sound sexy and I think it worked. He got up and took off his clothes.

I couldn't help but stare. I mean if you saw a hot guy with nice arms and abs don't tell me you wouldn't stare. I took his hand and ran into the freezing cold water with him. I dove under and let the water surround me and take me under. I popped up and looked to see Jax laughing.
"It's freezing." He said holding himself.
"That's what makes it fun." I said splashing him. Then he splashed me back. This snow balled into one big splash fight between everyone. Then we began to wrestle each other pulling us under the water. It was actually fun. Like real fun.

After we all calmed down everyone started spreading out. Skye and Kian left because they had work. Lark and Jack went off on a walk and Josh and Piper went down the lake and started making out.

That left just Jax and I.
"Ugh." Jax grunted.
"What?" I asked swimming to his side sitting on a rock.
"Josh and Piper, like can't they get a room." He said rolling his eyes. I just laughed. And then it feel into an awkward silence that I hoped wouldn't happen today.
"Casey." Jax said. I looked at him and he was already staring.
"I still haven't forgotten about you. I miss you." He said. I gulped a lump in my throat.
"The time isn't right." I whispered.
"It wasn't then, but now it is. We have no real threat. We can actually do things like this without worrying about someone dying. We can have a real life now." He said. Even though he made good points I couldn't.
"This is not my real life." I said quietly. He sighed.
"Casey I can't keep walking around every day seeing you and knowing you aren't mine. In this life i dont know when I'll die. I just have to know that I spent everyday with you, loving you." He said. I felt my heat flutter again like he used to make it.
"Just let me in. Let me help you, stop pushing me away. I know you care. And I know you know I care a hell of a lot. Casey I fucking love you and-" I cut him off by pushing myself up and kissing him.

He was caught off guard at first, but then moved his strong arms around me pulling me closer. I pulled away and smiled up at him. He returned the smile.
"I guess I love you too." I joked. He smiled and pulled me back in for another kiss. I actually did miss this feeling. This warm loving feeling inside me. I only got it around Jax.

I shivered and pulled away from the kiss.
"You okay?" He asked. I nodded my head ignoring the feeling of coldness spreading through my body. That's weird I felt fine a minute ago and then cold just hit me.
"Are you cold?" I asked. He looked confused.
"No why?" He asked.
"Just wondering because I'm freezing." I said.
"You probably just need to get moving again." He said. And then pulled me under water and started wrestling. I laughed and we continued that for a little till I got really tired.
"Jax, stop, stop." I said out of breath.
"What's wrong?" He asked.

"I don't feel good." I said putting my hand to my head. I just got a really bad headache. My head was pounding and it was getting harder to breath. It felt like my throats was closing up.
"Jax I need to go back." I said. He nodded and helped me out. Once we got out of the water I suddenly got light headed and fell over. Jax ran over to my side. He looked at me confused.
"Your so pale and your lips are turning blue." He touched me and pulling back sharply.
"Jesus your freezing." He said. I started shivering and my head was pounding even more.

"Wait hold on." He said getting an idea. He started looking all over my body inspecting every open area. Till he came upon a scratch type thing on my ankle. I looked at it and his face fell. I must have cut it on a rock or something I didn't even notice it.
"Holy shit." He said.
"What?" I breathed out barley.
"That's a bite from the wacasion fish." He said. He started freaking out and running to grab my stuff and his. He threw the jacket around me and picked me up bridal style. A pain shot through my leg and I screamed out.
"That fish bite can be seriously dangerous. Sometimes even deadly."
