[comment or dm me your opinions, no hate!]
so, for this rant, i'm gonna give you guys some of my own personal experiences with this and then you all know how i am and how im gonna go off so, here goes nothing.
first off, newsflash: it's 2016 people. there's literally tons of interracial families.
my main idea of equality is that literally everyone play a role in a society, and so does every family.
a family's race shouldn't be compared to another's in a negative manner.
let me tell you guys my own story, i'm mixed- caucasian and panamanian. two of my bestfriends are religious white people. [im religious, there's nothing wrong with it! just stating that because it has to do with what they said].
when i was in the sixth grade, we were on a school field trip. we were in our bunks at night and i don't even remember what we were talking about.
however, something that has stayed with me for the past few years is when they started talking about how interracial couples/families are against the Bible.
they were just talking about it, goimg on and on, as i laid on my top bunk crying to myself.
how can i help "being against the Bible" just because Love is Love and my parents loved each other?
i realize now how stupid of me it was to cry over it, because i can't help my parent's races, and i am who i am.
as Macklemore said in his song Same Love, "we paraphrase a book written 3500 years ago."
now, i'm a Christian, that's all fine and dandy, but in that same sense, God loves all his children regardless of race and color so honestly, i'm over it.
i'm just saying i still remember how i felt about what they said to me from years ago.
your words do make a difference.
they can stay ignorant people who are oblivious to their world.
another situation was when i was with my best friend's family.
her little sister (she is 9) saw a white woman and a black child in a car and said, "Mom, Mrs. bdkxkwobc's son is a different color" in a very suprised and worried tone.
(p.s. we know the woman, she adopted her son, hints the "different color")
but still, i'm not gonna go off a lot about that because i mean, she's young and just making an observation.
maybe it's just how she's being raised.
maybe it's her own opinion.
she was just stating a fact but still, i just wish our generation and upcoming generations would accept the fact that it's 2016, we can have interracial families, same-sex families, happy families, broken families, same race families, big families, small familes, etc.
so please learn to accept it, whether or not you support it.
because we can't help that our parents loved each other regardless of their race, so please don't ever put someone down about it.
love is love - regardless of race and many other factors.
and if you don't belive this, then send love, and people will send love back.
