The Doctor
CRASH!!!
Well that was a bumpy landing. Where in the universe could I have ended up now? Curious, I stick my head out of the TARDIS, taking in the surroundings. I appear to have ended up in some sort of street lined with shops of all sorts. I spy Gold and Copper and Pewter cauldrons capturing the sunlight outside of one; a large barrel of -wait, did that sign say 'Bat Spleens'?- and another overflowing with the eyes of eels. I'd say "odd", but I'm a time-traveling alien with two hearts, so nothing seems fitting of the term. Bustling past, people wearing cloaks of all colours and designs babble happily with another; I hear one small boy talking to his friend about the "Chudley Cannons". Wonder what that is? My interest piqued, I decide to take a stroll and look around this alley.

I sat by myself reading "The Quibbler", enjoying the atmosphere. It was a particularly lovely day in Diagon Alley, and my fellow Hogwarts students will have started to get their supplies. We go back September first, and today is August ninth.
Just as I was reading a particularly wonderful article, a fairly attractive man brushed past me and knocked me over.
"Hey!" Angrily, I grabbed my spectrespecs and wand off of the ground.
"Sorry! Didn't see you there!" He wore a light brown trench coat, and a suit. He was holding a wand, a very peculiar one. I stared at it, wondering what on earth it was made from. Little did I know he was in fact staring at mine too.
"Why are you carrying a stick?" He asked.
"A stick?" I was puzzled. "It's my wand. Your's seems made from rather bizarre materials."
"A wand? No, no. It's not a wand. It's a Sonic Screwdriver." He grinned smugly.
I tucked my wand behind my ear, confused.
"Say," the man was taking in my appearance. "Were you reading that upside down?" He pointed at my hands and I glanced at my copy of The Quibbler. "Yes, it was upside down."
He examined me more.
"And interesting choice of jewellery."
I stroked my radish earrings and grabbed my butterbeer cap necklace.
"It keeps away the Nargles." I say defiantly. "It's a charm."
"Nargles?" He looked disorientated.
I was becoming restless. Needing any excuse to leave the conversation, I mentioned needing to buy my school supplies.
"Oh, so this is where you get them?"
"Well, where other than Diagon Alley?"
"Diagon Alley?" He must be joking! My feathers a bit ruffled by his questioning, I say goodbye.
Honestly, what was with that man...
