the alarm clock flashed 6:30am, blaring an annoying tune. I grumbled and reached over to turn it off, but my fingers couldn't find it. I opened my eyes and saw that it had fallen off the nightstand, forcing me to get up and shut it off.

drew stirred on the bed behind me and pulled me back to him. I sighed and relaxed into his arms, delaying anything I was supposed to do that day.

“just skip your classes today. one day won't hurt,” he said softly, sleepily. he had a point. I only had two classes today, both of which were teaching about concepts I already knew.

“I know, but I should probably go. it won't be fun trying to get the work I missed,” I argued, not completely meaning the words coming out of my mouth. I tried to push his arm away, but he wouldn't loosen his grip.

“drewww. I have to get ready.” I attempted to wiggle out of his embrace, making a little progress, but not enough to set me free. I let out a little laugh. “let me goooo. please.”

“nope,” he answered, kissing the back of my head. he shifted so that he could leave kisses on my shoulder, trailing up to my neck. I sighed and stopped trying to move. “you know that's not fair, right?” I accused him, turning around to face him.

we locked eyes, gazing at each other for who knows how long. I glanced down at his lips, moving my head slightly so that my lips met his.

“alright. you win.”
