I can't imagine my life without Dan. Now here I am, arms around his waist, innocently sleeping together on Dan's queen-sized bed. I kissed his forehead. He was probably asleep, since it was eleven at night. But he was awake. I could tell by the way his eyelids fluttered and his cheeks flared. "Dan, I know you're awake," I whispered to him.
He fully stretched opened his eyes, revealing the coffee-chocolate eyes that I loved. "What?" He asked groggily, only half-awake.
"I can't sleep."
He pulled me closer to him, intertwining our legs and slinging an arm over me. I heard his steady breathing. It felt like a lullaby, just In, out. In, out.
I heard a song that I had listened to many times before play in my head.
"We drive into the night
Away from the life
Bringing us down

Keeping it light
But we can't deny

Before I knew it, I was fast asleep in Dan's arms.
