"If only Jade would let my do what I want." Kiel pouted at me after he had organised all his equipment.
"You would be rushing if I did and you told me that you can't rush perfection." I reminded him, recalling what he had told me last night.
He frowned at me, "True."
"We should get going." Clark mused, fixing his hair for the millionth time.
I nodded, "I agree. The sooner we arrive, the sooner we can leave."
Kiel chuckled, "You sure sound excited Jade." he commented sarcastically.
I crossed my arms, "What do you do at a party full of famous people?" I questioned, not directing it to anyone.
Clark answered, "It's the same as every other party. You socialise, you dance, you meet people."
"You get wasted." I added.
Clark frowned, "Yes. That is a bit of a fact."
I nodded in understanding, "Yeah, except I don't like to socialise, I don't like to dance, I don't like meeting new people, and I especially don't like getting wasted." I listed off one by one.
Kiel grimaced, "I don't like getting wasted either."
"Same." Clark agreed as well, "But we won't get wasted if we limit ourselves to the amount of alcohol we drink."
I scrunched my nose in disgust, "I hate the smell of alcohol. And for your information my hair-obsessed best friend; we are underaged."
Clark frowned, "I'm not hair-obsessed..."
I raised an eyebrow at him, "Yes, you are." I deadpanned. I wasn't surprised that Kiel and I said it in unison. We all know how important Clark's hair is for him.
He narrowed his eyes at us, "Whatever."
"We are still underaged though." I reminded.
Clark laughed at me as if I was mental, "Jade, this party is exclusive. No one will sue us for drinking."
"But it's illegal."
"Technically, so is driving without a license."
My eyes widened in disbelief, "You don't have a license?!"
"I do. Back in New York. It's not valid here though." he shrugged as if it was nothing.
How could he be so nonchalant about this? He could get in serious trouble. And when he does, I'll be the first to laugh.
"You should be in jail!" I told him, pointing an accusing finger at the subject.
"That'll never happen. I'm still a minor after all." he smirked.
My jaw dropped. Cunning lad.
I turned around, making sure that my hair hit his face and walked towards the door, "Let's go. We don't want to be late."
I heard Clark grumble complaints directed at me for hitting his eye with my hair. I purposely did that though so I'm not the least bit sorry.
Kiel was beside me in a flash, "This is going to be fun."
I arched an eyebrow at him, "You're going too?"
He nodded, "Yes. The host's wife is an important client of mine. She orders dresses regularly."
I frowned and turned around to glare at Clark, "Why do I have to go if Kiel could have accompanied you instead?"
He smiled sheepishly at me, "Was he? Oh well. Too bad you're already dressed."
