Part 39:The Druid Spell

In the department of mysteries, Amelia casts a druid spell to keep her friends from harm. I put this in because it never felt real to me that a bunch of teenagers managed to escape from this battle with very few injuries. So I thought it would make more sense if they had a guardian angel of some sorts which is where Amelia comes in. She doesn't finish the spell which is why people still get hurt but she does enough that no one dies.

Here is the full Latin version of the spell:

Tuta securi aut tuendam opportuna videantur , Munitiores essent ab iniuria et invidia A periculo exterminii Et inde in malum vobismetipsis: Magica arma mea est , impenetrabilis , qui declinat omnis impetus Circum illos in terram Profundum et latum eris induit eos de damnum convertentis ad sanandum eos Ita quod in me misit Fit bonum , et bonum Munitiores essent ab iniuria et invidia Tuta securi et protegebat

And here is the English Translation:

I am safe, secure, and protected,

Protected from injury and ill-will

From danger and destruction

From all hurt and harm

My magic is an armor, impenetrable,

that turns away all attacks

Turns them to the encompassing earth

Wide and deep, she takes them

transforms them from harm to healing

So that what is sent against me

Becomes a blessing and boon

Protected from injury and ill-will

I am safe, secure, and protected

This spell is a real druid spell and if you read it carefully you will see how the 'encompassing earth' and how 'she takes [the attacks], transforms them from harm to healing'. That part will effect Amelia in the next chapter while she is trying to save herself from the Death Eaters.
