“I’m sorry I didn’t mean to do it that hard,” I smiled apologetically.

“It’s okay,” he leaned in and kissed my cheek softly. I looked up to see Josh walking into class angrily. “It worked?” he whispered in my ear.

“Yea,” I nodded pulling away. “Now go!” I pushed him as the bell rang. He grinned walking away, but suddenly turned around and blew a kiss my way. My cheeks heated up as people stared at us. “I’ll kill him!” I hissed under my breath.

“Why would you want to do that to your boyfriend?” Dave smirked, though it didn’t reach his eyes. It looked like something was bothering him.

“I’ll tell you inside,” I sighed as I pulled him into the room with me.

The moment we walked into the class, everyone became silent. I looked around to see people staring at me, some confused others curiously. Dave grimaced suddenly, but the composed himself and pulled me to the back where he sat. I stared at him the whole time, wondering why he was acting so weird, I shook my head not understanding him at all and turned to look at the class. People were still looking at me. I internally groaned cursing out Riley for what he had now unleashed. Annoyed, I took out the necessaries for the class and began to look through the things at random. I heard the class slowly come back to life as the final bell rang. The teacher came in running through the door apologizing for her tardiness.

“Why is Josh staring at you like that?” Dave whispered as the teacher began to take roll.

“He thinks Riley and-“ I was interrupted as I heard my name being called out, “Here,” I said as I raised my hand. Ms. Stanley smiled at me and kept on calling roll. “He thinks Riley and I are together.”

“Thinks? So that means you guys aren’t really together?”

“Yep, Riley thought if he saw me with someone, he’ll stop bothering me.” I looked at Dave as I saw he sigh with relief.

            “Dave?” Ms. Stanley called out.

“Present,” he smiled at the teacher.

“What are you and Ms. Baker doing back there?” She asked confused.

“He’s helping me out,” I responded quickly.

“Oh dear, but he’s new. I don’t know if he can really help you.”

“I’m very capable of helping her, Ms. Stanley,” Dave smiled at her. His smile seemed to make Ms. Stanley breathless. I’ll admit that he did have a great smile, but nothing to be breathless about.

“Okay then, Dawn you can sit there with Mr. Vanfield,” she kept smiling at him as she spoke to me. I looked at her confused and noticed she hadn’t blink for a while now. I turned to look at Dave and he was also staring at are, he must have felt me looking at him because he turned to look at me and smiled. I noticed from the corner of my eye Ms. Stanley slightly shaking her head in a confused manner.

“What were you doing?” I narrowed my eyes at him.

“Nothing,” he answered a bit too quickly for my liking.

“You’re lying; I saw the way you were looking at each other. It was as if you had her under a spell. She became breathless when you gave her that smile.” I pointed my finger accusingly at him.
