“I wish I was back in high school,” Riley sighed thoughtfully.

“Won’t you get in trouble if one of the teachers sees you here?” I asked as I pulled away from him. I was beginning to feel uncomfortable with his arm wrapped around my waist and everyone staring at us as we passed.

            “Probably,” he grinned.

“We’ll just tell them that he came to drop off your math book or something,” Monna shrugged.

“See, she’s smart!” Riley grinned at me as he pointed at Monna. “You’re smart! So will you be able to help us out?”

“Help out with what?” Monna asked confused. Riley frowned as he looked at Monna. Then he turned to me and raised an eyebrow.

“I wasn’t able to ask her before you came in hollering my name and waving your arms in the air like a mad man!” I panted as I said that in one breath.

            “Oh,” Riley he smiled guiltily.

“What do you guys want me to help you with?” Monna asked as she narrowed her eyes at us.

“Dawn wants to take Angelo to Prom and we wanted to know if you can help us with planning everything, you know? I’m not good with this kind of things and I don’t think Dawn is either, so will you help?” Riley pleaded. Monna looked from Riley to me, as if she was trying to read more into it. I’ll admit, I had another motive as to why I wanted Angelo to go with me and I didn’t want Monna or anyone else for that matter to know about it. Monna raised an eyebrow as she looked at me. My heart began to pick up speed as she kept her gaze on me. I looked away not being able to hold her gaze any further.

“Okay, I’ll help out,” Monna sighed. I turned back to look at her with her eyes still on me that now was accompanied by a smirk. “We can go together!” she suddenly squealed as she ran up to me and began to jump up and down.

“If you don’t have a date, maybe I can take you,” Riley spoke as charmingly smiled at Monna. If I hadn’t known Riley I would have probably swooned giddily.

“Oh, Riley, you really know how to make a girl laugh,” Monna said as she laughed walking away from us. I tried hard not laugh myself as I saw Riley’s jaw hang open.

“She’s so mean!” he cried out.

“Not use to being rejected, are you?” I snickered. He glared before he turned and began to walk away from me. “The exit is the other way, Ry!” I laughed. He kept going before turned back around avoiding looking at me, which only made me laugh harder.

“No wonder you get along with her so well, you are both evil!” He grumbled as he stopped in front of me. His lip twitched before something behind me snapped his attention. “Dawn, you know I love you like a little sister and I wouldn’t even try to do anything that would ruin the relationship we have, but,” he sighed as he ran his fingers through his hair. “I can believe I’m doing this.” He whispered. Suddenly he wrapped his arms around my waist pulling me closer to him, I squealed at the sudden movements. “I’m sorry and don’t fight me, just go with it,” he said before I felt his lips on mine. I was about to pull away from him, but he just held tightly on to me. I knew Riley wasn’t interested in me, and the way he spoke to me before seemed as if he didn’t want to this so there must have be a good reason as to why he’s doing this. I relaxed wrapping my arms around his neck and reluctantly kissed him back, but for some reason it felt so wrong kissing him. I felt my stomach knot nervously making me want to gag.
