i was standing out in the pouring rain, in front of school when i first saw him.
he turned the corned from one of the residential streets, clad in a dark coat, a good six inches taller than me, and holding an umbrella to shield him from the down pour. he was looking down at his feet distractedly as he walked.
when he looked up, his eyes met with mine, and there was a flicker of a smile on his lips just before it was wiped off by the realization that everyone was already gone.
i was the only one standing there--drenched in rain water.
as he got just close enough for me to hear him, he called out a question, "where is everyone? why are you out here all by yourself?"

it is currently 5:45pm and thank god i chekced my email. i thought choir retreat for tour was from seven to nine. turns out i read it wrong and its from six to nine. i just dodged a huge bullet bc my music professor for choir is super intimidating.
