Dry Eye

Today I stood,

I stood and I read,

Words straight from the heart,

Or was is words from my head?

I stood and I watched,

As everyone cried,

But no tears for me,

The only dry eye,

But I'm the only one,

Who is meant to cry,

Because it means something to me, doesn't it?

Why couldn't I cry,

As I spoke the words,

My voice started to crack,

But this is what I chose,

There's no going back,

But I was just numb,

Why doesn't it feel real anymore,

When memories flood me,

And I imagine her on the floor,

What an earth is wrong with me?

Just standing there while everyone else cried,

There something very wrong inside me,

Maybe it was me who should have died.
