"You don't know what you're talking about," Coily replied, just as cold.
Pacman wrapped his fingers around Coily's wrist and yanked, jerking him behind him and against the door. Then he whipped his head around and suddenly pointed at Ugg, who let out a yelp and shuffled nervously. "You. Rule twenty seven. Do you remember it?" Pacman demanded.
"What?" Coily asked, a frown creasing his face as he whipped around to face them.
"Shut up, Coily," Pac snapped, not moving his gaze. Coily scowled, but didn't reply, his curiosity getting the better of him. "Ubb, right?"
"It's Ugg..." Ugg muttered.
"Rule twenty seven. Do you remember it?" Pacman asked him. When Ugg just stared at him blankly, he turned to Slick. "Do you?"
Slick frowned. "Of course I do."
Pacman straightened, staring at him. "Then recite it back to me."
"I don't really see the point—"
"Just do it!" Pacman shouted at him, the area around him momentarily flaring yellow.
At the tone of his voice, QBert's eyebrows raised and he turned to Slick with a you'd-better-do-what-he-says-because-he-means-business look on his face.
"Slick!" Ugg squeaked, tugging on Slick's sleeve. "Just humor him! Do something!"
"Fine, fine," Slick snapped, pushing him off.
Coily's eyes abruptly widened. "Wait! Don't!" he yelled hastily.
"What? Why?" Slick asked him, confused.
"Slick, listen to me! Rule twenty seven. Recite it!" Pacman repeated.
Slick looked between them. "Alright, alright. It clearly states that—" Slick suddenly paused. "Wait..."
"Why are you doing what he iss telling you!?" Coily hissed. "He'ss on the other sside, and not even of our game!" He glanced at Pacman with a look of disgust. "He shouldn't even be here..."
"I don't see what this has to do with anything," Slick said, shaking his head and ignoring Coily. "Why do I have to recite rule twenty seven?" he asked.
"To see if you can remember it."
Everybody abruptly fell silent at the sound of QBert's hoarse voice. He looked up at his friend, his eyes wide. "Rule twenty seven. It's supposed to be about what happens when somebody breaks a rule." He swallowed and shook his head slightly. "But I can't remember it. I can't remember what it says," he said.
"That'ss becausse of your condition, idiot," Coily snapped at him. "With that boy'ss pain in your head, I'm sure you can't really think of anything."
Pacman whipped his head around to look at Coily with a glance back at his friend. "Huh?"
"Hey, ya know what? I can't really recall what twenty seven says myself," Ugg said with a frown.
Coily gave him a flat look, arching a brow. "You probably can't remember even half the ruless," he stated.
Ugg paused, and everybody looked at him expectantly. Then he chuckled nervously, rubbing the back of his neck with a sheepish look on his face. "Ya know Coily, you're totally right about that. I've always been a little glitchy around that area. Never really found a need to keep track of 'em anyway."
"What?" QBert asked him, incredulous. "Are you for cear right now? They are literally imbedded into your mind!"
Ugg just shrugged unhelpfully. "I dunno."
