After his bedroom door closed, Karan took Andrew's laptop and pulled away his notebook, sliding them to the opposite side of the table. "And you get a good night's sleep," he said sternly.
Andrew sighed, as it was early, but grinned—he trusted Karan's judgement. "Whatevs. Will do, captain."
Karan smiled. "Good to see the ol' Andrew again. Welcome back."
His friend laughed and rolled his eyes. "Oh, please..." Then he yawned. Catching himself, he blinked and stared at Karan.
"Off. To. Bed," Karan replied flatly.
"Yup, yup," Andrew agreed, nodding as he quickly stood up and went to his room. Then suddenly, on the way he tried to turn back with, "Hey, but Moe started it! That wasn't me!"
Karan waved his hand in farewell, dismissing the idea. "Nope! Too late!"
"Okay," Andrew resigned, already turning around again.
When the bedroom door closed, Karan smiled. Leaving his friend's things on the table, he stood up and was about to head off to the basement, when he heard a sound from behind Moe's door. He frowned and walked up to it. "You okay, Moe?"
"What?" he heard Moe say, his voice muffled through the wood.
"I asked if you were alright in there. There was a thumping sound," Karan called back.
"What are you talking about? I'm just fine and dandy," he replied.
Karan smiled and shook his head. "Okay, man. Sleep good," he said, walking away.
Inside his bedroom, Moe nodded. "Yeah," he told himself, though really in denial, his head feeling light. "Just... fine..." He swayed beside his bed, leaning against a bedpost. He frowned and rubbed his face, suddenly overcome. "What in the world...?" he muttered. His vision blurred, and his legs gave way beneath him. He collapsed against the side of his bed onto the floor. His head rested against the bedpost, and he gasped.
HOP, HOP..... CUBES..... RESPAWN......
Words and numbers suddenly flew through his mind in a nonsensical order. The room flickered, and he felt like he was in two places at once. He groaned, slumping to the floor.
"Not again..." Moe whispered before he blacked out, his left hand twitching on the carpet.

The door burst open, shuddering on its hinges, and rain splattered the floor before it swung close. Coily jerked himself to his feet, stepping back from QBert as he turned to the intruder rubbing his shoulder.
"Ah," he murmured, and a smirk formed. "If it issn't the mighty polka dot eater himsself," he greeted.
Pacman's eyes widened when he saw QBert kneeling on the floor, who caught his gaze. "Dude, you've gotta help me," he saw him say silently. QBert pointed at Coily. Then he traced a couple loops in the air by his hood, and mouthed, "He's gone cray cray. Completely cuckoo, wacko, nu—"
Coily, sensing the movement behind him, whipped his head around to look down at him. The hand tracing circles immediately started rubbing his head, and QBert frowned back at him. "What are you looking at, shoelace?" he rasped, arching a brow, daring Coily to reply.
The question posed was influenced by his cocky flair, but his tone had wavered, like he had restricted himself. It was then that Pacman realized the severity of the situation. When he looked back at Coily, his eyes flashed. "What have you done to QBert?" he questioned, knowing that it took a lot to dampen his friend's bravado.
