"Andrew makes a good point, and I think that it's great that he's looking out for me and checking to see if I'm a hundred percent okay." Moe then pointed at Karan and his eyes landed on Andrew. "However, on the flip side, this guy makes a good point too. Though I like it that you're taking care of me, you need to take care of yourself, or else you're gonna make yourself completely useless to everybody," he said pointedly to Andrew.
His two listeners stared at him. "I don't think I've ever heard you say so much without it being a joke," Karan stated.
Then Moe smirked. "Am I right? Or am I right?"
"Aaaand there's the punchline," Andrew said, turning back to his laptop.
"Huh?" Moe squinted at him. "That was nothin. If you want, I could tell you a real joke."
"Well, if you're so okay, then maybe the two of you should head out and get some air," Karan suggested.
Moe gave him a look and gestured to his comfy clothes. "But I'm still recovering!" he told him.
Karan grinned. "Okay, now I know that you're alright."
He gave an exaggerated sigh. "Ohh, fine. What fun activity will you torture us with this time?" he groaned, plucking off another piece of banana.
"You two could—"
"Wait, the both of us?" Andrew interrupted, looking up.
"Yes. You, buddy, need to take a break," Karan said, pointing at him.
"But I have to research on—" Andrew immediately began, but his protest was cut off with a wave of a hand.
"You. Need. A break. And besides, who better to check out that arcade just around the corner from here than an old software expert and a hacker who both love video games?" Karan said, gesturing at the two of them.
Moe pointed at himself. "Me being the software expert, right?"
"No," both Karan and Andrew answered for him.
"You don't know jack about anything tech related earlier than 2005!" Andrew told him in a jovial manner, though as he spoke, he was nagged by the fact that this may not be true.
Moe frowned. "I don't think myself so much as a hacker, so much as a... a um, uh...."
"You're the hacker in this reference," Karan chuckled. "I mean, that's what you've told us you are, isn't it?"
Moe stopped and looked back down at his banana. "Right."
Their knowing friend looked between them, expectantly. "So? How about it?"
Andrew paused. There was an arcade that they had found that happened to be a short drive from their house, and they—especially himself, for geeky reasons—had been meaning to go and see it, but just hadn't gotten around to going. Still, his gaze lingered on his laptop screen.
"Well?" Karan prompted.
Andrew paused. A second later, he closed his laptop. "Alright."
Karan pumped his fist in the air in a mini-victory. "Knew that'd get to you."
"Sounds great! Tomorrow, though," Moe told them, putting the last piece of the fruit into his mouth and turning to his bedroom door after tossing the peel in the trash. He put his hands up, quickly swallowing down the banana. "I'm out for tonight!" And he yawned.
"Okay," Andrew replied.
"Good night," Karan said.
"G'night!" Moe called with a two-fingered salute.
