LIZZIE POV
I woke up to my phone vibrating with a few texts from Joel. I smiled as I picked up the phone.
Joel:
Hey Lizzie wanna come hang out at the park me and a few friends are going
Oh btw its in a few hours call me when you get up
And theres gonna be food
Me:
K
I checked the time and noticed I had slept in. Oh well, I thought to myself as I dialed Joel's number that I had already memorized.
"Lizzie!" Joel said loudly through the phone. I smiled "hi Joel. When are we meeting at the park?"
There was loud sound that almost sounded like a gun then silence for a few seconds. "Joel?" "Shut up" he whispered roughly. All of a sudden there was a banging noise on what I guessed was a door, followed by faint screams.
"Joel. Is everything okay?" I whispered. "No... Fuck. Lizzie.. I'll be over in a a few-" there was another gunshot. You could tell Joel was moving. "Lizzie" he whispered "I'm going to climb out of the window and run to your flat, okay?" "Okay" I replied.
"Oh shit" Joel said in a normal volume. Then there was an extremely loud gunshot and the line went dead.
