"Aubrey? No way. She'll reject me, and isn't she already taken?"
"No you doofus. She caught Cameron cheating on her."
"What?" Xavier spat. "What a dickhead."
"I know." I sighed, "Trust me, she likes you too. And look, if it doesn't work out, but it will, I will..." I think, trying to come up with something.
"Owe me food?" Xavier asks, and I can literally hear him smirking.
"Okay." I rolled my eyes.
"Deal." He then hangs up the phone and I look at the phone.
"Rude." I muttered.

I love the dark. Especially when I have my candles lit up and the room is looking so beautiful. It makes me feel really homely, which I do kind of miss because of how busy my family is. We hardly even talk or have a proper chat anymore. It's like we've distanced ourselves from each other, like work is more important to us.
It's actually sad. How stress can overtake your life, but I guess nobody survives that long to understand it.
Alex has been awol for a week, but he just had a lot of college exams recently, staying in the college campus with a friend for the week. It had been a bit quiet without him to be honest, but I'm glad I had Rachel back because it felt like my long long sister had just been found. And I could confide in her and if I'm honest, I had missed having a sister.
Because when she was driving me to Cody's house all we did was laugh and mess about. We were so much in our zone that Rachel nearly got into an accident but thankfully swerved just before her car banged into the other's. And when the old man stuck his finger up and started shouting cuss words at her, it just made the situation even more hilarious.
The reason why Rachel was driving me and I didn't go in my own car was because Alex had to take mine as he was staying at the campus. I didn't exactly understand why though because his friend had a car which I'm sure he wouldn't mind letting Alex borrow.
I rang the doorbell to the house as soon as Rachel dropped me off. She had smirked and cheekily enough had said, "Use protection!" Before zooming off. I had to look around to make sure no one heard and yet still my cheeks were flaming like someone had fed me a hot chilli pepper.
When the door opened to view Cody, he shot me a grin. "Hey." His eyebrows raised, "Why are you blushing already?"
Already? What's that supposed to mean.
It didn't help with the situation because my cheeks were getting hotter and hotter by the second and I couldn't resist the urge to put my hands up to them to cover it. "Hi." I mumbled.
Cody laughed gently and yanked my hand away from my face. "You look cute." And he walked back inside. After a few seconds of letting my cheeks cool down - the chilly air wasn't exactly helping - I followed him into the house and closed the door behind me.
He stood behind the kitchen counter as I stood a couple of metres away from him. He leaned his elbows on the counter and then his hands cupped his face. He looked over my body, and I couldn't read the expression he was holding this time.
