Usually you try to keep the tears away so no one could see them especially your boyfriend Scott.You know all too well how hard is to be Scott Mccall,always having to make the right decision,constant threats and an unstoppable need to protect your loved ones.So in your book Scott is not allowed to see you cry because you know how it would break him.You are his anchor,an island of sanity in the ocean of madness and seeing you cry does break him from the inside but he wont dare to show it in front of you knowing it would hurt you and you would blame yourself for it.You two are trying to protect each other with force of your whole being but sometimes even that's not enough.
