{12} Fearless

To say things weren't awkward with Chad after that amusement park trip would be a complete lie. Whenever we were together we would avoid direct eye contact and then of course I would look at him when he wasn't looking and he would do the same to me. When we caught each other's eyes we quickly looked away and the cycle would repeat itself. I think our friends caught on, that there was something weird going on but they didn't do anything about it. Which was kinda surprising.

But I knew that it wouldn't last long...

"So what's going on between you and Chad?" Sky blurts while I was reading a book on the sofa

"Nothing" I shrug nonchalantly but it was clear that she didn't believe me

"Yeah sure and I'm Selena Gomez" she bit out sarcastically

"Ugh. Well when-" I start to tell her the whole story because I knew she wouldn't stop bothering me until she got her way but then she cut me off

"BEV COME QUICK, SHE'S FINALLY GONNA TELL US!" Sky yells out and I groan in protest

"Really?!" Bev comes in the room running and plops down next to me on the couch

"Well at the amusement park while you guys were riding the rollercoaster, Chad and I went to get fried oreos and when we were there I saw the guy I had ran into in the hallways that day I thought I was late but I wasn't" I explain

"Oh Brady or something like that, right?" Sky says

"It's Brody" I correct

"Anyways, Brody came over and we started talking and when I looked back, Chad wasn't there anymore so, I went after him and he wasn't listening, he just kept walking" I continue

"Interesting" Bev says

"And then he pulled me in the corner where you guys found us. I asked him why did he leave and he said that he couldn't just watch Brody flirt with me!" I say exasperatedly

"Aw" Sky mumbles and I roll my eyes

"We weren't even flirting we were just talking. Then I asked him if he was jealous and he bluntly said yes" I say and Bev gasps

"And then what?!" Sky prompts and I shrug

"I asked why but then you guys came" I sigh

"Damn we always ruin good moments" Sky mutters and Bev places her delicate hand on my shoulder

"Ellie...I think he likes you" Bev says and I gulp

I mean this has obviously crossed my mind, I'm not completely oblivious but it can't be true. He just likes bothering me and he thinks he likes me. I'm about to prove my theory.

"He doesn't like me. Trust me" I say and start heading towards the door

"Wait! where are you going?" Sky shouts

"To prove he doesn't!" I shout back and start walking towards the building Chad lives in. It's a pretty far walk but I think I can get there in maybe 15-20 minutes.

"Hey sweet lips"

Sweet lips?

I quickly glance to my left to see a man along with a few others looking at me. Damn, why did I think it would be a smart idea to walk this late at night?

I look behind the crowd of nut jobs and see a black cadillac. A very familiar black cadillac. It was the same one that I was in when Chad's dad was kidnapping me.

Now in full panic, I start sprinting away from the cadillac and the group of men.

"Where the fuck do you think you're going?" I heard one of the men yell from behind me
