I walked into the house, only to be welcomed by a fuming Kris. He was standing right on the other side of the door, and was he angry as soon as those dark eyes glimpsed at my face.

"Where were you!"

Now was not the time to freeze up, but guess what i did? The exact thing itself. But why should I have to say anything to this asshole? When did he suddenly care whether or not I was alive? Oh wait, no Kris only cares about getting himself out of trouble. No way, after what he did am I going to give him an answer, so I rolled my eyes getting caught by his arms trying to pass his shoulder.

"I'll ask you this only once more, where were you?"

"Weren't you the same person who told me not to talk to you? Why should you care jerk?" It took me a lot to speak against him, but I did. However, Kris was persistent, continuing to follow after me as I went up the stairs.

"Are you deaf?" He yelled, stomping while he tread up the stairs behind me.

"No, but you must be. And on top of that blind! I shouldn't have to explain myself to you when you don't even bother to get to know me!" I slammed my bedroom door shut, sliding down on the surface of it, letting all the hidden tears fill my eyelids.

I shouldn't be crying. I shouldn't be, in pain. And I shouldn't be here. But where else could I go? Either way, I'll end up alone. I was faced with the mirror in front of me, which reflected the small clip Kris bought for me. Whenever I looked at it, I was happy. This only brings me pain now. I don't want it anymore. Wiping away my tears, I threw it out the window, crashing down onto the bed which welcomed me in my time of need. Trying my hardest to muffle my sobbing, I laid on top of the sheets motionless, until I finally succumbed under a deep sleep. It's so unfair. All of it is so unfair...

My alarm clock sounded, a long with the sound of a person calling my name from the front yard."Yù!"

Oh no, he's gonna get himself into trouble. When i looked out the window there he was.

"Tao?! What are you- You can't be here!"

The boy frowned impatiently."Why not?" He huffed.

"Because I..."

Looking back inside my room, I listened for any sudden movements, then snook my way outside the bedroom. It was early in the morning, and people were still snoring. Which was surprising seeing that Tao's mouth was as loud as a siren.

Opening the front door, after putting on my uniform, I walked outdoors drawn by the smile on his face. "Kuài diǎn, hurry up!"

"Not so loud, Tao. My parents are sleeping."

"Oh. Sorry. Well, let's go to school together. I came for you."

He, came for me?

"Okay, then let's go." I smiled, taking him by the arm so we'd leave quicker that way. If he found out that Kris and I lived together, I'd get hell.

Tao and I made it to class on time, but we had block sessions which meant he and I had a class together. Only, Kris was also in this class. When the two of us got inside, he was already staring me down as if I did him dirty. If it wasn't for the instructor, Kris would have blown up by now, fortunately. "Sit with me Yù." Tao must've seen the way he was looking at me. I only nodded, not leaving my sight off of the blonde, who eyed me all the way over to my desk, scoffing as he turned to the front board.

"So now, he wants to give me some attention?"

Tao went to go use the restroom, so i waited for him by my locker, when suddenly I was grabbed by the shoulders, flipped hard onto my back against the cold metal of the locker door. "Who's that boy, you're with?" And look who came just in time to ruin it all.
