S A G E

I breath in, and heavily breath out. The stress is a lot. I stare at my feet. Wow I have nice shoes, snap out of it Sage! I lift my head up and walk towards the door.

Then I stop. I turn around, but I know that if I leave they'll just shove me back inside. I have no choice. I walk back to the door and grasp the handle. I have to do this, I have to. I twist the knob and walk inside. My ears full with the loudest noise ever. I want to leave, but I can't. This is going to be the worst night ever.

My first party.

"Come on Sage you'll be fine!" My friend Rena tells me. She says I'll be fine but my palms are sweating already. On the outside I look a little nervous but on the inside I'm bawling my eyes out.

"Ya, it'll be fun!" My other friend Kelsey says before she walks off to go talk to some guy. I turn to look for Rena, but she's already gone, so I'm here. Alone.

I go over to sit on a bench and soon after a petite blonde girl sits beside me, "Hi." She says nervously. "Did your friends make you come to a party too?"

"Ya," I answer, it feels really awkward talking to someone I just met.

"My names Haley, what's yours?" She asks me slightly cocking her head to the side.

"Sage." I reply

"That's a nice name, I love your hair by the way, such a pretty shade of red."

"Thanks it's my natural color."

"Wow really!"

"Yup." This is really weird were talking like we're best friends, I feel like she might be drunk or something.

"Sorry, you know for talking a lot, but I don't have anybody to talk to here. You're probably thinking I'm drunk or something, I'm not." Her voice trailed off as she spoke. Then it went quiet between us.

"Well I don't have anybody to talk to either, so you're stuck with me wether you like it or not!" I said playfully, and Haley look up at me with the biggest smile.

"Do you wanna get some punch?" She asked

"Sure I'm parched!" I responded. We walked to the refreshments table and found the one non-alcoholic drink, and went back to our bench. The punch was really fizzy and it felt like it went up my nose, so I pinched it and made a sour face. Haley must have noticed, because she laughed and punch came out of her nose. We laughed for a while and then sipped our drinks again.

"Sage, do you want to go outside, it's really loud in here." Haley asked tilting her head towards the door.

"Yes please!" I said overdramaticly and walked out with her.

Outside it was chilly and awfully weird because there were only us out there, but it was better than being in a house filled with crazy people and ear splitting music. We talked for what seemed like an hour, it turns out she's a gymnast, and a scholar. I feel like we can be good friends.

H A L E Y

I'm talking to Sage and it's dark out , I reach into my pocket to grab a flash light from my bag and shine it out ward onto the street, when I see a tall dark figure.  It starts walking. Towards us, slowly.

"Sage, sage. We gotta get out of here!" I tap her shoulder and start to stand up from where we were sitting and the figure starts running towards us. "Sage!" I scream and it goes black.
