So I am very stupid, or at least I feel that way. I am a Junior at my local college and I paid out of pocket last semester and owed like $526. Scholarships only cover $200 from a previous semester which means I had to come up with $326 to enroll in classes. So I paid $37 and 1.5 weeks later came back and paid  $200 (3rd day of classes). Then add I'm sitting there trying to figure out how the hell I'm going to pay the remaining $89 I decide to call my Grandfather. As I am on the phone with him I remember that I have a trust fund. So I ask if he can pay the $89 remaining on the account and he says sure. So I was able to enroll in classes, but I am stupid because why didn't I think of that sooner? I could of put almost $250 in my pocket. Now I'm going to be struggling to pay bills and such till scholarships come out and pay day the day after scholarships come. Ugh. That's 3 weeks away.
But on the good side I have over 9000$ in scholarships this year and i just landed a government level job (E3) making passports earning 16.50 am hour and average pay in my state (Arkansas) is 8.50 with 7.25 being minimum wage. Monthly costs are 1200 a month between rent and bills and food. Without insurance or car payments just 400 rent 150 electric 75 Internet 55 water 100 gas 200 food for human 100 food for 1 cat and 1 dog (my service dog) not including other shit. So the government job pays about $3498 a month. What doesn't go to necessities goes into savings for emergencies.
