'Got any more brilliant ideas', Barry snarled at me as I pretended to be busy in my corner of the lab. 'Leave her alone Barry', Oliver said to him, 'None of this is her fault'.
Although they all knew that I had only tried to help, it felt as if everyone was shunning me.
I'd had enough of this. It had been going on for days. 'If you don't want me here then I can just go'. I grabbed my bag and headed out into the awaiting abandoned city...

There was still no sign of life. Everything had remained as it had been since that night.
The night this city will never forget.
I couldn't live in all of this anymore. No. I couldn't stay and watch my city slowly crumble away into nothingness. I began walking faster, my shoes crunching on the rubble and dust with every step. I had to get out of here. I thought about what I had to loose, about what I had to gain.
Then I was jogging.
Running.
Sprinting.
Racing away.
Would I ever return...?
