When She Came Along (Kol Mikaelson Fanfiction)

Chapter: 40

ANGELUS P.O.V.

I was reading a book when I received the call for help, I smiled knowing Iris had accomplished what I had asked from her.

''Angelus speaking'' I said smiling

''Cure Caroline'' Kol said

''Now didn't we agreed upon something'' I said

''She doesn't have 3 days, she can die tonight if we don't do something'' Kol said

''Well, that's your problem not mine'' I said

''Angelus, will hand over Iris'' Kol said

Immediately as he said that, bickering from the other line began.

''Fine, I'll cure Caroline but you  must swear on a oath that you won't come after Iris, forget about her'' I said

"No!!!" Kol yelled

"You better start saying you're goodbyes, but if you do wish to meet me and trade cure for Iris, I will be at my club at 9:00 p.m. by the way don't bring everyone one here just Elijah" I said

"Elijah?" Kol sounded confused

"Elijah keeps his promises, and I wish to deal with him not you, nor Rebekah, and of course not Klaus, it really was nice talking to you" I said and hanged up.

I through the phone on the couch and picked up my book once again, but before I could even begin to read Gregory walks in.

"What now, don't you see I'm reading" I said

"Angelus I was gonna ask you, what do I do with the girl she won't stop yelling" he said

"I still havent planned anything for her, but for now just bite her maybe that might shut her up" I told my wolf

"Very well" Gregory said and walked away

I couldn't read anymore, the memory came to me almost instantly.

Angelus 1864...

I sat on the bench writing a letter that would expose my feelings to the mistress. I hoped she felt the same, every single day I would watch her as she sang on the balcony, it made my heart skip a beat. As I finished the letter I signed it and sealed it and tucked it inside my ripped jacket. I walked to the side of the house  and stood below her balcony and there she was as always singing, she noticed me standing there admiring her.

"Angel, well hello" she said

"Mrs. Knight can I talk to you in private?" I asked

"Haven't I told you a billion times call me Iris and sure we can talk I'll be done in a minute" Iris said

A few minutes passed and Iris appeared.

"If you want to talk in private, we can take a stroll over to the garden, father and mother are gone with Edwin" Iris said with a big smile

I nodded in agreement, and as walked we talked and made jokes, but as soon as we arrived to the garden I stopped laughing and faced her with a serious face.

"Why so serious, Angel?" She asked

"I've been waiting for the perfect moment to tell you and today is the day" I said happily

"What is it?" she asked

I reached for the letter, but it wasn't in my pocket, my eyes widen as I see the hole in my pocket where the letter was.

"Angel, I must be going now, father and mother have arrived " Iris said

"please wait" I pleaded

"You can tell me later at night" Iris said and ran from the garden

I began to retrace my steps and no sign of the letter. I gave up and walked to the stalls where I worked cleaning the horses. But as I went I see Iris with Trevor, the new boy in town, he had a huge crush on Iris so he was willing to do anything for her. I focused on my hearing and realized he was reading my letter, but left out the part where I signed my name, he took credit for what I wrote. I run towards Trevor and punched him in the face without thinking.

"ANGEL!!!" Iris yelled

"Mrs. Knight I'm sorry its just that..." I managed to say before I was cut off

"Enough, Mr. Baine" she said angrily and left.

I looked at her as she left me, heartache was too much I ran to the stalls and cried silently.

Present...

I hadn't realized that I was crying, tears trickled down my cheeks.

"How could you push me away when all I wanted was your love" I said

"Now I have you, but it doesn't feel the same, I have to spell you so you can love me, what a pathetic fool I am " I said

I stand up and quickly grab a drink from the mini fridge, but it was no use I immediately grabbed the cup and throw it across the room smashing it at the wall sending a million shards everywhere. Quickly Gregory ran in.

"Mr. Baine are you okay" Gregory asked

"GET OUT NOW!!!" I yelled

He did as he was told and tears came streaming out,  I sat on the chair alone in the dark drinking my sorrows.
