16- The meeting

Clarke:

It's finally Friday this week felt like a year with Bellamy's accident and him telling me everything about his family. It was a hard one for him. I know he wanted to look like nothing effected him but I know he was hurt he has been through a lot it's time for him to heal and be happy

"We re here" I said parking in my mom's front yard

Today mom invited us for dinner, Bellamy was so nervous he was agitated the whole day I know that my mom looks tuff and difficult but inside she was a sweetheart.

"You ready?" I asked

"No" he responded looking at me nervously

I grabbed his hand  "bab it's okey don't be nervous I know that it's a bit intimidating after the last meeting but you will see that she will love you. I know it"

He took a deep breath "Let's do this" he told me with a slight smile

"Hi mom we re here" I yelled entering the house

"Hello baby girl" she said coming toward me. Then she hugged me
"How are you doing?" She added looking at Bellamy
He approached her. Extended his arm to shake hers but instead of shaking it she hugged him. I could see Bellamy blushing it was awkward for him. He didn't know what to do with his arms

When she pulled away he looked at her awkwardly "eeeem I am doing fine" he said politely

"You re one of the family now don't be shy" my mom said with a huge smile

"Thank you Mam" Bellamy was still uncomfortable could see it

"call me Abby"

We walked to the living room where I saw Dr Kane sitting on the couch I looked at my mom confused she ignored my look

"Oww hello Mister Black; Clarke" he noded to me

My mom went back to the kitchen I looked at Bellamy who was as confused as me I know that mom and Dr Kane are good friends but this was supposed to be a family meeting what is he doing here?

"Clarke can you come? I need some help" mom said from the kitchen

I looked at Bellamy he noded I kissed him and headed to the kitchen

"What is Kane doing here?" I asked as soon as I came into the kitchen

"Well...I invited him"

"I know but why? this was supposed to be about you meeting Bellamy why did you invite someone who works with you to a family dinner?"

"He is a good friend of mine I know you consider him as your father that's why I invited him" she avoided my look

"No he is not like my father and he will never be" I didn't realize that I was yelling until she shushed me

"Let's eat now and we will talk later"

"No we will talk now" I yelled at her

"Clarke.." Bellamy said when he got into the kitchen

"Not now Bell" I answered still looking at my mom

"C'mon baby girl let's eat first then we will talk" she said trying to convince me

Bellamy was still waiting at the door I noded to my mom then walked toward him
He looked at me with a questioning look
"I will tell you later" I answered

Bellamy:

"The food was delicious Ms Griffin" I said sitting in the living room when she entered with a bottle of wine in her hand

"Don't call me that you make me feel old...call me Abby just Abby"

I smiled at her she came closer and handed me a glass of red wine
"Bellamy can you help me with something?" she said

"Yes of course with anything I can" I said turning to face her she set next to me

"I...emmm well I am in a relationship with Kane and I don't know how to introduce this to Clarke she is super protective and she was so close to her father I know she will not be supportive I want make it easier on her"

"What do you want me to do?" I asked not understanding what did she want from me

"I just want you to be there for her" She answered in a heartbeat

"I will always be there for her I really love your daughter and I will never leave her"

"I know that" she smiled at me  I smiled back
