Ali's P.O.V
I managed to get a full nights sleep last night which was surprising to me. I think it was being in my moms bed that helped me rest easily. Even when I was younger I always slept better when I was closer to my mom and dad, I always had a feeling of being more safe when I was near them.
I got out of bed after my mom woke me up and had a quick shower. It was still early so I had plenty of time until I had to go to school which was unusual for me. After getting dressed and doing my hair I made my way downstairs for breakfast.
My mom made me waffles with powdered sugar and strawberries with a side of eggs and bacon. I grabbed myself some water to wash it down with. After I finished eating I sat and talked with my mom until Kian and Emily made their way to the kitchen
"Hi Ali" Emily smiled as she waved at me and sat on my moms lap
"Hello Emilia" I laughed looking at her
My mom made Emily's breakfast and she let her eat it in the living room while watching t.v because she wanted to talk to Kian and I privately.
"What happened yesterday has really freaked me out. I am worried about the two of you, especially you Ali. I don't want you guys getting involved and caught up with this dangerous, violent man, I can't have the two of you getting hurt" she said as she sat across from Kian and I looking back and forth between the two of us
"Mom it freaked us out too but there's nothing we can do about it. We just have to wait until they can find Cameron's dad" Kian said as he ate his pancakes
"I know that Kian which is why I think it's best that the two of you distance yourself from Cameron for a little bit, just until this all goes away" she said with a look of sympathy
"And what exactly is distancing ourselves from him going to do. Cameron needs his friends around him now more than ever and you ask us to just drop him" Kian said raising his voice
"I'm not saying to drop him sweetie, I'm just saying a little bit of distance won't be such a bad thing. I'm trying to protect you" she said back with sadness clear in her voice
"Your not trying to protect us. Even if we do distance ourselves from Cameron his dad is still gonna know we know him. It's not going to do anything" I said raising my voice
"Okay I'm going to school. Ali do you need a ride" Kian asked as he stood up and grabbed his bag
"Yeah" I replied as I followed his actions and followed him out of the house and got into his car
The drive to school was silent, I was angry and upset and I didn't want to talk about anything
"Don't listen to mom Ali okay she's still shook up about yesterday, she'll calm down" Kian said as he placed his hand on my shoulder
"I know she will, I'm just mad that she even said it" I replied as I looked out the window
We got to school within a few minutes. I did the usual thing and went straight to my locker and got my books. As soon as I shut my locker Cameron came up to me and as soon as I seen him I broke down crying
"Hey what's wrong" he whispered slightly as he pulled me in for a hug. I didn't want to talk in the hallway so I walked Cameron to the cafeteria and explained the whole story to him about what my mom thinks Kian and I should do
"Ali maybe your moms right, maybe distancing yourself from me won't be such a bad thing. It would be safer" Cameron said as he rubbed my arm
"No Cameron it won't be safer. Your dad is still going to know who Kian and I are. I'm not leaving you" I said worried
"Your not going to be leaving me. You just won't see me for a little while until everything is sorted with my dad" he said as he held my cheeks
"I don't want to do that. I love you Cameron and I want to be here for you, but if you don't want that then I'll leave" I said getting up
"Ali stop, sit back down, of course I don't want that I just want you to be safe" he said as he pulled me back onto the bench
" I am safe Cameron" I said sadly. Cameron pulled me in for another hug and kissed the top of my head "Promise me you won't go anywhere" I sighed
"I promise, I love you" he said as he pulled away from the hug
"I love you too" I smiled as I leaned in and kissed him
