"Welcome!" A girl says with a wide smile and open arms as you walk in.
You look at her weirdly. She's four feet and nine and three quarters of an inch (*cough* recognize a reference? *cough*), with unruly, curly, and frizzy black hair. On the bridge of her nose sits orange, nerdy, yet in a way sporty, glasses. Her smile is warm and lessens the tension in you.
"Hi?" You question more than reply.
"I'm Author and you must be Reader!" She exclaims excitedly. "Once again welcome to the 5 story building that I have named 'As It Settles In'! Weird name, yes, but I was lazy so don't judge me."
A person named 'Author'? What were her parents thinking? Um, no offense. And what did she call me? Reader? Huh? You think, putting on a poker face.
"Wait. My name isn't 'Reader' it's-" you start to say, but then get interrupted.
"Yeah, yeah. Anyways, so let's cover the bases. On each floor there's something different, though some might have a continuation due to the fact that some floors just aren't big enough for my designs. I built and designed each and every one of them from scratch, but if someone else helped there'll be a huge plaque to show the shared credit. Some floors may need some extensive knowledge of a particular subject, but that's rarely the case. I try to design them as fluent and understandable as possible in order for you to have the most enjoyable time here." She says, with a small knowing smirk on her face.
"Also, I highly advise for you to take the box of Kleenexes at the door if you see one on any of the floors. You know... In case something sad happens. But what would be sad? Nothing obviously, haha. I meant... Um... Just in case some things might give you the sniffles. Like, um, pollen or something. Totally nothing sad or heart breaking. If there's a sign, read it. It's important. Actually if you see anything at the door of each floor, take it or read it. It's definitely advisable. Obviously nothing horribly wrong would happen but... Uh... Yeah..." She trails off with a nervous laugh, earning another weird glance from you.
"O-o-okay..." Comes your reply. "I'll just be going on my way now. Towards the elevator and start exploring this place... So... Uh... Thanks Miss Author." You turn away and walk to a very impressive looking elevator as Author waves goodbye to you.
"Have fun!" She yells out then mumbles something that doesn't quite reach your ears.
"What?" You ask pressing the up button on the wall.
"Er. Nothing." Comes her quick reply.
The elevator door opens and you step inside, marveling at the architecture. You look back at Author and wave just before the door closes, then press the first button.
A timid bell sound rings to acknowledge of your arrival at the first floor. The doors slowly open and you walk out. Instantly greeted by a simple door at the end of a short, but cozy hallway. You walk forward and find yourself standing in front if it, with your hand on the knob.
Here we go.

If you haven't caught on, this chapter is about how this story will be set up. Each "floor", or chapter, is my own. If someone does indeed help me, then I'll be constantly reminding you who helped. Because they deserve the credit as well. (Speaking of giving credit. How do you tag other people in stories? I'm not sure how to do that since I'm not very experienced with that type of thing.)
Each story is a short unless in the title it says 'part 1' or something like that. If there are celebrities, YouTubers, or others mentioned I will try to make it as understandable as possible in case you don't know who they are. That way you won't have to skip the chapter, be confused, or search things up.
At the beginning of each chapter there will be a bolded part (maybe italicized, but it will will definitely be bolded). I highly advise for you to read it. It'll be like a continuation of this chapter, but super super super short. Like one paragraph. In that paragraph it will contain warnings, advice, etc. If there is a video or a picture at the beginning of the chapter that is only an extra. Not a warning or a sign. Just an extra.
At the end of each story there will always be an author's note. Short or long, there'll be one.
