Initiation

"C'mon man, if we do this one we won't have to ever do this again", said Den as he stood in front of Darryon in a dark alley way.

"Look I don't know man, I'm not trying to get caught up in this anymore. You said we'd stop after the last house!"

"Yea, that's before we found this one! There's about 200k in this house alone Darryon! If we pull this off we'll be able to quit and go our separate ways. And you'll be able to help your mom out and shit", he said looking from Darryon to the other boys.

"Come on man, we need you," said Jamal in a sharp voice.

"Man I don't know why we still friends with this dude, we have to beg this nigga every time we wanna pull something off!" Shouts Qt.

Darryon fuming with anger from the way Qt treats him and looks between the three guys. He looks down at the  ground in front of him then back up at Den.

"I'm in," He said while giving QT a death stare.

Before the guys could say anything Darryon walks off and heads to his house. Since the gig was tomorrow he would be able to get his thoughts together and get prepared.

"Hey baby, I have to go to work so you'll have to watch the girls for tonight. I cooked dinner and it's on the stove. I love you guys, I'm already late", she said as she quickly grabbed her things and shot out the door.

Darryon stops and looks out the door and watches as his mom pulls out. He wants to be able to let his mom relax and not have to work so much, and with the money they could make from this house he knew she could do just that. Before moving from the front door he wipes the tears from his eyes.

"Mom said we can stay up and watch tv since we did our homework early", said April as she walked up to her brother with Asia following in her tracks.

Darryon loved his sisters and loved spending time with them. They had a really close relationship with one another and nothing could come in between that. Darryon smirked at them as he looked from one sister to the next. Although Darryon and his sisters were close he made sure he still played the adult role when his mom was away.

"Really April ? You honestly think I'm going to fall for that? Why would mom say that when it's a school night", he laughed as he passed them and fell onto the couch, grabbing the remote.

"You fall for everything else", laughed Asia as her sister nudged her and they both ran away laughing.

Before they could make it out of the room Darryon grabbed a pillow and threw it at them.

Now alone in the living room Darryon could finally focus on what's about to happen the next day and how it could possible change his life. Robbing houses was something he started when he was younger with his friends. Although he found a thrill out of it before, now that he was getting older he wanted to change his life and stop doing it. But with the people that he's friends with that won't change anytime soon.

Before he knew it Darryon was drifting away into a deep sleep. When he woke up the next day he found his two sisters standing in front of him. He jumped as he saw them just staring in his face.

"Did something happen?"

"We have to go to school, we tried waking you but all you kept saying was I'm sorry", said Asia with her hands on her hips.

"Uh, I'll walk you to the school. Just give me a second".

Darryon rushed to the bathroom and just stood in the mirror. "What's happening to you man? You know better than this", he said in a whisper. Before leaving the room he slashes water in his face to look more alive.
