I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion, "Okay?"
"They're the one who interviewed Clark last night." he clarified.
I chuckled at the memory of last night and how I lied to those poor people. Good times.
"Were they mad?" I asked even though I already knew the answer.
"They want to talk to you."
I snorted, "No thanks." I waved my hand, "They wrote what I told them without making sure it was fact. They’re so stupid."
"I know." Jesse agreed with a nod, "And they bug me about it? Sheesh."
I stared at him flatly, "And here I am, thinking that you were worried about me."
He rolled his eyes, "Nah. You'd probably eat all your enemies--"
"Hey!" I cut him off, "I wouldn't eat my enemies. Now that's just insulting. Just because I love eating--"
"I didn't mean it literally." he raised an eyebrow at me and stared me down.
So he thinks he can look intimidating?
"I'm just saying that you can handle yourself. I'm not responsible for your actions. I'm not working for you." he explained further.
"Whatever. I don't even care. I'm just a seventeen-year old girl who is solely focused on her studies." I smiled proudly at myself then upon realising something; I frowned, "And you keep distracting me." I accused him.
"Hey don't blame me." he defended himself, "I'm just doing what Clark asked me to do."
"Since when do you listen to Clark?"
"Since he told me he would find a new manager if I don't do what he says."
"You're letting him threaten you?" I shook my head, "I'm disappointed Jesse." I sighed dramatically, "I expected so much more from you."
"It's not my fault! I love my job and I intend to keep it." he pouted.
"What does Clark want from me?" I asked instead, dismissing the previous subject because my companion was getting too childish.
If I find out that Jesse made me skip my classes for a stupid reason, there's going to be bloodshed tonight. And not just his blood will be spilled...
Jesse shrugged, "Beats me."
He doesn't know either. I wonder what it is.

"You can't be serious." I groaned, plopping myself down on the couch in Clark's all-too familiar room in the studio.
"I'm sorry Jade. But I really need you for this." he gave me an apologetic look as he shrugged on his jacket.
I sighed, "Can't Jesse do it?" I suggested, pointing at the aforementioned lad.
When he realised I was gesturing to him, he pointed to himself questioningly; as if asking me if I meant it.
"It has to be a girl." Clark told me, crouching in front of the couch I was on.
I frowned at him, "Than have Kiel do it."
"Please?" he pouted.
I narrowed my eyes at him, "You know pouting won't get you anywhere Clark."
He scowled at me before turning to look at Jesse.
"You tried dude." Jesse told him sympathetically.
Clark scratched his head and faced me again, "What if I get you ice cream after?"
I shook my head, "It's cold. I won't be wanting ice cream anytime soon."
