It was 9am. Julia was dressed in a black skirt, with a white shirt and black matching jacket. Her black heels clicked against the tile floors as she made her way to the doors. This was it she was going for the interview today. A taxi was already outside since she had called earlier for it. She got in and they drove off. The company as she had researched on it was about a 45 minute drive from her apartment and she was shocked that she had not noticed it before. It was a towering giant of glass that loomed against the other buildings. Her eyes roamed the area in front of it, looking for the glass giant, when she spotted it she inhaled. Thoughts of working there immediately came to her mind and she smiled.

When the driver stopped, she paid him quickly before getting out and heading for the glass double doors. They slid open before her and she entered a spacious lobby filled with just the right amount of lights. Two large green plants were placed against a counter where a woman with spectacles sat. Julia cleared her throat and then stepped towards the woman. “Hi good morning,” she said. The woman looked up and smiled. “Good morning,” she returned. “I’m here for an appointment concerning the administrative assistant position,” she said. The woman nodded and told her to go through the oaken door that was not far off. “Hi good morning,” she said as she entered and short woman looked up. “Ms. Hastings I presume,” she said. Julia nodded and the woman led her up a flight of steps and towards the double doors ahead of her. She nodded and took a deep breath before knocking and entering the room.

Her breath caught when her eyes graced the room. It was truly breathtaking. The entire thing was glass, tinted of course but the sun caught parts of it and made it shine. There was a leather sofa nearby and a mahogany table near to it. When she inhaled the scent of something strong mingled with pine caressed her nose. “Ms. Hastings,” A deep voice said. Her head whipped towards the voice and she grew beet red for a moment. His light blue eyes roved over her head to toe and then came back to her head. A smile formed at his lips. Julia gulped and might have turned back if he did not call her name again. She shook her self and answered. “My name is Gabriel Santiago, please have a seat,” he said and stood up. She took the chair in front of him and waited for him to fire his questions at her.

“I see that you’re interested in being an administrative assistant,” he said. “Yes,” she replied. He nodded. “Well can you tell me why?” he asked. She cleared her throat and spoke. She told him about her seeking a job and her recent one, the truth and then sighed. Somehow she felt like he was going to say no. He was silent for a while and when she looked up he was standing close to her. Her eyes travelled up his black pants and shirt until she met his blue eyes. He was smirking again. She looked away and he stepped back. “May I see your resume?” he asked. She put it on the table along with her recommendations and other credentials that might hopefully gain her a position in the company.

He flipped through them and then sat back. Her eyebrows furrowed. She was at the point of just getting up to leave because after the way he looked at her papers she was sure he would say no. “Ms. Hastings,” he began. She inhaled and looked at him; really looked at him for the first time. His black hair framed his slightly tanned face and made his cheekbones more prominent. He smiled and she turned away. “Ms. Hastings, I find that with your qualifications and assets you will, be perfect for the job.” A breath escaped her lips and she looked up at him. “Thank you so much,” she replied and then tried to pull herself together. He smiled and handed her back her folder.

“I shall see you tomorrow at 8am and don’t be late,” he warned. She nodded and thanked him again before getting up. After hoisting her bag on her shoulder she proceeded to walk to the door until he called her back. “Can you please bring me that pencil I forgot I dropped it there this morning,” he said and pointed near to the door. Julia smiled and nodded before bending and picking it up. When she turned around she realized what he had done. “Great now my boss is a perv,” she thought. She handed him the pencil before scrambling out of the room.

Hmm what do you think; please tell me what you think?
