-=You're P.O.V♢=-

My mind just shut down... as in I couldn't even recognize that I was looking at the dirt clumps on the ground. I just felt numb, to feelings. To anything, really.

I thought... No, I could've sworn he was out of town. I haven't seen his face in four years only because I planned specifically, which time to come when he was out on business. H-he... knows my weaknesses that I've long forgot, but I know they're there. My flaws that I've tried desperately to cover and hide; he's seen them all. And worst of all, he knows my fears. Fears are what keeps us alive. But over the years, I've taught myself to think that I had no fears, worries. That I was just a mind trapped in a body that had no feelings. He manipulated the way I once thought; the only part the made me felt normal, that I could fit in with the world. He took that away from me and made me something else. The only thing that he doesn't know completely is how my magic works.

"Keeping quiet, (Y/N)" David's voice broke me away from my thoughts. "I bet if I ripped that mask off you that you'll open up your pretty little mouth." His smirk grew wider. "I'd love to see your face, after all these years."

As he began to approach, my mind raced for something to distract him. I pushed and dug my feet into the ground to get away from him, but the guards held my arms firm. I tried sparking a flame at my fingers but my magic was still depleted. I could summon my wings but I would have to get a running start if I wanted to fly anywhere. I'm running out of options, quick. Is this the end of my freedom? I still haven't found her yet, I needed to see her face again, just one last time to know she's alive. Knowing him, I'd probably be lock up somewhere never to see sunlight again.

Come one, come on! Please, just give me enough power to do something! I pleaded to no one in particular. My heart was racing fast, and my throat felt like a straw I was trying to breathe through. I started twisting, trying to get out of the guard's grasp's. I began coughing and wheezing, trying desperately to get any air into my lungs. David noticed my frantic need and stood there for a moment, confused.

"H-elp-.. P-plea..se." I managed to wheeze. My vision was clouded with red, and my heart was beating rapidly. I felt my power flicker, I could tell my forms were mixing. If I transform, I'll be unstable. I could blow this whole street up If I moved a finger. The guards let go of me, unsure of what I was going on with me. My form was flickering. I leaned my head on the ground, making a semi-fetal position.

"If this is one of you tricks-"

I cut him off, "I-I Ca-n't BRE-ATHE D-avi-" It felt like my lungs were on fire. Once I coughed blood on the ground, he realized that I wasn't messing around. David started to make his way towards me but I let out a shriek that made him stop.

"G-et ou..t my si..ight." I whispered. I started seeing black spots. David looked towards the guards, and asked what I had said, to which one replied, "You need to leave." with a tone that almost sounded familiar, but I couldn't place it. Because I was suffocating while these idiots tried to figure out what I said.

"Excuse me?" David replied,

As the guard cursed David under his breath, he raised his arm in the air and made a signal with his hand. Arrows began raining own upon everyone. The twins crouched down beside me and covered my head with my hood, which was woven with iron thread. It could protect me from potential wounds but that doesn't mean that it wouldn't leave a huge bruise. Shouts and screams rang through the streets,
