awakening

Eyes peeling open, fingers stretch. My face feels flat and dead and i wonder if I'm even really alive. Drenched in sweat I want to wipe my brow, but my hand is restricted by something. I yank up my other hand, nothing. My eyes shoot open wide realizing the figures in front of me who have me pinned down. White suits down to the shoes and faces covered with hazard masks. I try to scream out demands and questions but my lips and tongue tangle over each other and my speech is nothing but gibberish. One of the masks stares at me, patting my chest he says in some foreign accent "you are not ready yet. Relax. Relax. " I nod and stare at the ceiling collecting my thoughts. Faintly in the background of my mind i hear the voices speaking "He is very disoriented at the moment. Give him time" I do feel dizzy and sick but i say nothing to them of this. Moving my head and neck I realize my head too is strapped down. A needle comes for my arm and i flinch expecting the huge needle to stab me and send pain all the way up my shoulder.. Yet. I felt nothing. Nothing but the blood flowing and leaving my vein. I stare in amazement and slowly stammer "where am I sir" i wait but not answer. "What am i doing here?" i speak up with an angry tone. It was made clear i wasn't about to get answers the easy way. So naturally, I yank my arms around shaking the table like the mad man i possibly was causing commotion watching the group of masks back away hollering orders in words i could not understand. But in a flash my face hits the floor and spurts of laughter burst out from both the masked men and I. But my laughter is pure anger and emotion.  They only laughed at my failure. Tears run down my cheeks as i am lifted up off the ground, only to be greeted by the grotesque face in a lab suit.
