IT DOESN'T NECESSARILY HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE STORY BUT ITS OHMAHGAWD WHY DOES MOOKIE000 HAVE TO BE SO DEPRESSING _

~~~
Akaashi's father is gay. He's gay, and his love life never worked out. When he came out to his parent's they didn't accept him, and in the end he was in an arranged marriage with a gender he never liked. The first time the two had sex, his father puked afterword. The girl, who had loved his father was utterly broken. She decided to get a divorce soon after, only to find that she was pregnant. The two refused abortion for some reason, and Akaashi was miserably born. Though as soon as he was, the mother left, and Akaashi was left with his crazed father, who was not to find happiness again.
And he deemed his son to not find that spark either.
On the second week, Bokuto finally brought himself to Akaashi's house. It was the weekend, and he recalled that Akaashi would never let him anywhere close to his house during that time of the week. He also realized that he's only ever met Akaashi's family once. And the next time he met up with Akaashi, they broke up. Was his family the reason? He pondered as he jogged up to Akaashi's doorstep, ringing the doorbell. Inside, he could hear a few footsteps, before the door swung open, to reveal Akaashi's father, a stern looking man that stood at least a head taller than Akaashi. Akaashi has his eyes, was Bokuto's first thought.
"Hello, I'm Bokuto Koutarou, Akaashi's senpai from school," he introduced. The man nodded. "Can I meet Akaashi?" Bokuto asked
The man narrowed his eyes. "Akaashi isn't at home at he moment," he stated, then closing the door without further elaboration.
Leaving poor ol' Bokuto standing at their doorstep with a feeling of dejavu.
~~~

This continued for the next couple days. Bokuto would visit Akaashi's house, and then his father would send him off again. on the third day, Bokuto finally decided that something was seriously wrong. Instead of going straight to Akaashi's house, he rang the doorbell of the house next to Akaashi's.

The door opened to reveal a middle aged woman that seemed nice enough. Bokuto asked the lady about the son in the next house.

The lady drew in her eyebrows into a worried expression. "A few days ago, an ambulance came over to take the young lad to the hospital," she informed, "I hope he's okay, he was such a nice child."

Bokuto's eyes widened at the news. Hospital? "Which hospital?!"

The lady informed him that she believed it was the regional hospital, and Bokuto quickly bid her goodbye, sprinting in the direction of the hospital.

He clenched his teeth. Why didn't his father say anything?! How could I myself not realize something was wrong quicker?! All the way to the hospital, all Bokuto could do was drown in self guilt and imagine the worst.

The clock's ticking

~~~
Bokuto burst into the hospital room panting. There were two beds in the room, and a certain messy black haired man was on one of them.
Akaashi looked at him wide eyed. "W-why are you here?!"
Bokuto didn't comprehend the question. He could only focus on the bandages on his lover's body. His arm was in a sling, and he had bandages on his forehead. There were a few bruises that Bokuto could make out under the bandages, and an IV was attached to his other arm.
Anger clouded Bokuto's features. How come he didn't tell me anything?!
He voiced out his thoughts.
Akaashi's face hardened. "We broke up. I have no obligation to tell you," he simply stated.
Bokuto bit back some profanities. Even if we supposedly aren't lovers anymore, Iv'e been with you long enough so that even if we went back a step, we wouldn't have become strangers?! He sighed and scrutinized Akaashi. "What happened?"
He hesitated. "I-I fell down the stairs," he stuttered. Bokuto studied him. He's lying, he decided, but didn't pressure Akaashi to tell him any more.
He stayed there for another hour, having some awkward comments, but mainly the room was silent, Bokuto studying Akaashi, coming with fantasies with what might've actually happened, and Akaashi sitting uncomfortably under Bokuto's gaze.
I really wish he would depend on me more, Bokuto thought, as he was leaving the hospital. He had asked a nurse what Akaashi's injuries were, and the nurse had said that he had suffered from starvation, and ultimately fell down the stairs to suffer those injuries. Though the "starvation" part worried Bokuto, he still refused to acknowledge that "falling down the stairs" was the cause for his injuries.
He stared up at the sky that was painted angrily with several warm colors, battling over dominance, like a war.
Even when we were dating, he had never entrusted me with anything that might trouble me in the least.
"He had stayed here for quite a long time," a frightening familiar voice spoke, at the entrance of the room. Akaashi stiffened, and dared not to turn his head to meet his father. He continued staring out the window, following the figure of his past lover.
"Look at me when I am speaking," he seethed. Akaashi slowly turned his head toward his father, his face paling.
"I'm assuming this is the sign that you've decided to ignore my warnings?" He asked leering at Akaashi.
Akaashi's eyes widened. "No! I didn't tell him anything! I wasn't the one who told him I was here!" He persuaded desperately.
His father wouldn't have any of that. "And I suppose, the dog did it." His eyes narrowed.
Akaashi's mouth opened, but no words came out. He grimaced, and looked away, breaking the stare of his father.
"I hope your lover knows what he's getting himself into," he said menacingly, and quickly leaving the room.
Akaashi's eyes widened at the statement. "Father please don't!" He called out desperately fighting back the tears.
His father had left.
"Shit shit shit," Akaashi repeated, his eyes darting around the room. He had to contact Bokuto immediately. If his father found him, all hell will break loose.
His phone was back at home, and there was a slim chance his father was going to get it for him. Akaashi quickly called a nurse to get him a phone and dialed Bokuto's number. There were a few rings, and then a monotone voice started speaking. Akaashi swore again and hung up, trying again. He still didn't pick up. Akaashi quickly gave up, searching for another way to contact the man he loved, but there were none.
All Akaashi could do was stare helplessly as his father left the hospital to do who knows what.
Tick tock
~~~

I don't think I'm gonna reveal it (=ω)
*Edit: you'll find out later since keiji only refers to him as "father"
