"ERH! ERH! ERH! ERH! ERH! ER-"
I slammed my hand on my alarm clock, silencing the horrid device.
I am not a morning person.
I buried my head back into my pillow, until my mother bursted in, turning on the lights and opening all the blinds while yelling, "Wake up!" I groaned into my pillow and rolled out of bed. Mum left once she saw I was up, and I began to close all the blinds she had opened. I hate when she does this, but I secretly knew this was the only way to get me out of bed, even if I didn't like it. I turned on my bluetooth radio, and Drake began to blast out of it. I rapped along as I pulled my hair back, until the end of the last song on my short playlist, signifying the end of my time to get ready. I slipped my phone into my pocket and walked up the stairs from my basement sanctuary. My mom handed me my lunch box and told me to grab a water from the garage. I grabbed my backpack and did so before getting into the car.

I gasped as I saw the school. Rushing to get out of the car, I quickly pecked mum on the cheek and yelled goodbye as I walked up to the grand campus. It had a beautifully manicured lawn and a grand staircase up to the large oak doors, that stood open with a steady flow of students passing through them. I turned to wave goodbye to mum but instead saw a boy exiting a white limo. I rolled my eyes,
Seriously? Who rides a limo to school.
I have to admit the boy was cute, but too.... well, perfect. With his perfect green eyes and his perfect tall slightly muscular build, his perfectly brushed and styled blond hair. Everything was perfect, except his ugly orange converse. Other than that, there was no... personality to it all. He walked by me giving me a friendly wave, which I returned.
Well at least he seems nice.
As the limo pulled away, I saw my mum giving me a devilish smile and two thumbs up. I scowled at her and turned and walked away from the parking lot.

As I made my way up the stairs I was suddenly pushed back by a blur of yellow. I lost my balance and fell backwards, tumbling down the stairs and landing right on my bruised back. I groaned in pain but tried my best to ignore it as I sat up to see who pushed me. I soon spotted a snobby-looking girl wearing an ugly yellow jacket and striped shirt.
Do people just have shitty style at this school?
The girl was hanging onto the arm of the boy who had exited the limo just moments before. I made eye contact with her and made a "what the hell" face. The girl just smirked in a snobby way and turned her head to the concerned-looking boy whose cheeks she began to assault with kisses. "Oh hell no." I thought to myself as I pushed myself up and brushed the dirt off my shorts. I stalked back up the stairs and up to the couple. The girl paused in kissing the boy and turned towards me.
"Can I help you?" she sneered.
"You pushed me" I stated.
"So what? You were in the way."
"Well a simple 'excuse me' would've been just fine." I growled.
"Well," she mocked, "I prefer not to talk to lowly people like you." she said, jabbing me in the chest.
I composed myself, not wanting to give her the pleasure of upsetting me.
"Why? Because if the spent to much time talking to you they would realize what a bitch you are?" I calmly fired back.
The girl stood shocked for a moment, clearly not used to people standing up to her for some reason. Suddenly, she screamed out in anger and shot her arm out, whether to punch me or slap me didn't matter, because before she could get close enough to me, I grabbed her hand and yanked it forward, then grabbed her other arm and pined them both painfully behind her back, so she couldn't move. I could've done more, but I decided not to get into trouble before I even set foot in the school, so I let her go. But not before leaning down and whispering into her ear, "You ever try to lay a hand on me again, I won't hold back." And with that, I released my grip on her and she crumbled to the ground dramatically. I turned away as she started screaming about how I 'just made the biggest mistake of my life' but I ignored her and kept my head down as I stormed into the building. I walked quickly down the hall as I searched for my locker number. Many kids stared at me as I passed by. "Hmm," I thought, "they must not get a lot of new students around here." I kept my eyes on the locker numbers as I walked, not wanting to make eye contact with any of them. Little did I know how fast the word went around when it involved the mayor's daughter, and that a certain ombré-haired girl had videoed the entire ordeal.
