The Night before dawn: Chapter 1

I woke up to my father playing the piano downstairs, he is playing the song that I used to love as a kid. That's when I realized that it is my fifteenth birthday. When I went to grab my phone it buzzed. I had twenty nine text telling me happy birthday. Wow I have such great friends!
"Leria? Leriaa? Are you awake Leria?" I could hear my mother sweet voice through the door. I have always wondered why I don't look or act at all like my Mom and Dad.
"Yeah Mom! I am about to get up!!" I used my fairy magics to quickly make the bed and clean my room up some before my Mom comes in a sees my mess. That was another thing, my Mom and Dad didn't have magics like me.
"Well I can see you really took your time to clean up."She says being sarcastic.
Hyria came running in.
"Sis sis!!"my brother always finds a way to be loud and hyper.
"Yes Hyria?"
"Today I have field day and my shirt is ripped!"
"Oh no!! You should probably get Mom to sew it."
"But-but... I want it to be magical and you are the only one in the house who has magics!"
"Don't you think that is kinda cheating? "I kneeled down on one knee so I would be the same hight as my 12 year old brother.
"W-well maybe...but I want to win because you win at everything and I just...can't."
"Okay, I will do it."
"Yay thanks sis!!"
"But under one condition!"
"Okay, I will do anything!"
"Okay then let Mom sew your shirt! You DID say would anything!!"
"THAT'S NOT FAIR."
"Have a good day!" I say packing up my backpack using levitating magics.I could hear Hyria complaining as I left the room. I turned to him, the only face I was capable of making was a grin as I walk into the kitchen.
"What did you do to make your brother so mad now?"my father asked as I went down you get a granola bar.
"He wanted me to fix his field day shirt with magic and I said no.....yah so that happened." My mouth was full of food now. My father gave me a angry stare,  I knew what he was gonna say. Usually it is two things, don't speak with your mouth open. And also you need to do what your brother wants you to do if he is gonna throw a tantrum because of it but what he really said caught me by surprise.
"Leria.......HAPPY BIRTHDAY." My dad said running up and giving me a hug.
"Oh...uhh thanks dad..."I replied awkwardly."I uh REALLY gotta get to school..so bye dad!"
"Did you forget something?"
"Ohh yah...love you mom, love you dad."   

Today school was filled with life. That reminds me, we are have our school battles. Only magics users like myself are allowed to battle. Our refry is a healing magics user. That means that if anyone gets hurt
they will heal them. This year the healer is Iris Yong. Iris is so sweet and gentle, that is why    we always choose her as our healer.
" Hey LOSER!! You ready to lose to me again?"Chespin HArt always wins against me.
"Ha! In your dreams! You won't beat me this year!"I snap back. "Today's my birthday, and you are goin' down!!"
My best friend, Aaron, walks up behind me.
"Are you two dating yet?"
"Ha once again! In. Your. Dreams!! So no need to get jealous yet, I mean know you are gay an all but calm down."
Chespin stutters looking for a good comeback but comes up with nothing. He growls at me and walks away.
Everyone was laughing. I really just hit his weak spot!
"Does he really have a crush on me?"Aaron asked. I could see the worry in his eyes. It was so funny.
"Are you kidding? Of course not... I don't think....."
"Wow you are really making me feel just SOOO much better!"
"Haha. We should probably get to class before we get in trouble!"I say laughing while saying every word
