She heard a chuckle from the other side of the table, and looked at Moe. "You mean besides our table?" her stocky friend asked her cheekily.

"Yeah," she chuckled. "Though, you guys are pretty hard to beat."

"Sure are," Andrew agreed, and he put his hands in front of his mouth as if he were holding an imaginary trumpet. Their eyes widened—would he really do that in public? Then, realizing that they knew him, yeah, he totally would. He was lanky, but he had a big voice in him. He gulped in a big breath of air, ready to blow, but Karan set a cheeseburger in front of him, making him pause.

Karan looked at him sternly. "No," he said forcefully.

After a couple of seconds, Andrew let the air out from his lungs in a quiet wheeze. Moe unplugged his ears and laughed. Mira squinted at Andrew. "Are you trying to let the whole world know you're here, or something?"

He didn't seem to know what to respond with, eyebrows raising and mouth forming empty words through a grin, before he shrugged and went with, "Well..." Moe laughed again and punched him on the shoulder.

She shook her head. "Oh, you guys." She smiled at them, "You know, I thought you guys were older than elementary school, but if I didn't know you two, I wouldn't be able to see the difference."

Moe scrunched his nose as Andrew burst out, "What!?"

"Low blow, man. Low blow," Moe told her with a shake of his head.

Karan glanced at her. "I don't know about you, sis, but I've known them for years, and I still don't know if I can see the difference," he said.

"Ohhhhh!" Moe hooted. "Ouch!"

Mira's mouth had dropped open in shock, but then she nodded in approval. "Indeed."

Andrew rubbed his face. "I can't believe you guys." He turned to Moe, jerking his thumb toward the other side of the table. "Can you believe them?"

Moe quickly shook his head. "No, I cannot," he replied. "I'm aghast. And hurt." He stuck out his bottom lip, and put his hands over the left side of his chest. "Right, here," he told Karan and Mira, who were both chuckling.

Andrew draped his wrist over his forehead dramatically, feigning distress. "So many years of friendship... all for naught...."

"Okay, you two," Karan began. "You guys can cool it—"

"Oh, but I say woe to the two friends who haven't let go of such childish ways," Mira cried, playing along. "Woe, I say!"

Karan looked at her with dismay. "You too?" Then Moe set both of his hands on the table, which caused Karan to roll his eyes and shake his head, muttering, "Great, here we go. And I thought we just got them settled down, too."

"Why, what are these childish ways that you speak of?" Moe demanded to know from Mira.

"Your roughing of the house," she answered him, using a similar tone of voice, waving her hand in the air theatrically.

Moe and Andrew looked at each other, and then back to her, their movements synchronized.. An unintentional laugh escaped from Karan. He covered his face to hide his laughter at the comical scene playing out before him. "Oh, boy," they heard his muffled voice say.

"'Roughing of the house?'" Andrew echoed.

"Yes," she confirmed with a definite nod of her head.

"That's simply outrageous," Moe scoffed with a dismissive air.

"And your bouts around the horse!" Mira continued, twirling her pointer finger in a circle.
