Chapter 12: fear of the new

He ignored my question and continued to mix some of the stuff that was on the table.

"Hey! I'm talking to you!" I shouted getting a bit annoyed.

He glanced at me before smiling deviously. Lifting up a needle that was now filled with a ruby red liquid and a tint of violet, he made his way over to my trapped figure.

"I wonder what will happen if I inject this into you~"

My eyes begin to widen in fear. I shake my head no, staring at him as he slowly gets closer, and closer.

Then just like that, he injected the needle into a vein in my leg, and might I say, it hurt like a b!tch.

I bite my lip to keep from screening out as my eyes begin to water.

He released the mysterious liquid into my blood stream before taking it out. I don't know how, but the pain seemed to have worsened when he took it out.

My iris begin to shrink and I could feel my fangs growing out as I let out a deafening howl of pain. My screams of agony soon contorted into that of a beast of some sort as I felt something bubble up from within me, all the while filling my sight with black and dark purple.

Soon enough, I find myself floating around in the darkness again, a familiar presence floats around me. Images flash by, giving me seconds to recognize them.

Faces, places, and memories, all of which faded into red. Red. The only thing I see for a while as my consciousness slips away from me.

Orochimaru's P.O.V.

I watched in amusement as she screamed out in pain. Then her eyes begin to glow a deep red and a black and purple aura began to emit from her body.

"Interesting... There seems to be something hidden deep inside her and its reacting to the sample I gave her..."

I made some mental notes for further experiments, but stopped when I saw that she was starting to rip through the stuff that was strapping her to the table.

"Well this isn't good."

I muttered to my self as I tried to hold her back down to the table, but I failed miserably.

She over powered me and began to rampage through the lab.

Once again I left my spot to keep her from destroying all my stuff, but only to be attacked by the vicious she beast.

She sent a flurry of swipes, new found claws fully extended. I was to busy dodging them all to see her leg aiming for my head in a high round house kick.
I noticed it at the last moment and managed to block it, but just by a little.

The force of the attack sent me flying several meters. Getting back up I looked around my destroyed lab. I spotted the little she demon only to see that the black and purple aura completely engulfed her and in a blink of an eye, she disappeared.

"She was here a second ago, where is she now?"
A smirk played upon my face.

"This was certainly an interesting experiment, but I guess I'll have to put it under the failed ones."

(Y/n)'s P.O.V.

The red faded to black and my body began to feel tingly.

"Idiot."

This voice...

"How could you let that damn snake catch us? Are you really that weak?"

I remember hearing this voice somewhere.

"You're lucky that you're alive right now."

"Who are you?"

"Right now, I'm just a voice inside your head. Have you know, I do not find any pleasure of waking up dying."

"Dying. You were dying?"

"We were dying. If it wasn't for me, we would be dead by now."

"Thanks then, I guess."

"Try your best not to get into anything reckless and stop being so weak. Right now, I'm healing all the wounds, although there is something that is bothering that I can't quite fix."

"And that is..."

"Open your eyes and take a look."

I opened my eyes and saw that I was in my special place again. Crawling over to the lake that was in front of me, I take a look at my reflection.

Everything looked normal. I pulled down my mask and revealed the two dark purple stripes that ran down my cheeks was still present, but it was a lot more bold.

Just as I was about to dismiss it's words, I felt something twitch. I looked back down at my reflection in the water, this time angling my head to the point of where I saw.....
